New Lounge at LHR T3

Recommended Posts

Before boarding your BR or TG flight to Bangkok from LHR there is a new lounge open,

http://www.no1traveller.com/

It costs £25 but there are usually some discounts to be had.

I have not used this new lounge yet but I think that it is just through the doors from the retail area.

It also has a bar, a barman serves drinks and probably counts too.

I shall continue to use the Servisair lounge, a Fiver cheaper and help yourself to booze. :chogdee

I think that you can just turn up and pay your £25, the web site should tell you all the details, enjoy your trip.

Thanks.

Do you happen to know, for both of these, if you can just turn up and pay, or whether it has to be booked in advance?

I looked at ServisAir (https://www.executivelounges.com/en/) a couple of weeks ago. Their website is not explicit about it but the general tone of the way in which it is written suggests you have to book on-line, not just turn up.

I didn't bother enquiring further in the end as the terminal was not very crowded.

I don't think there is a smoking area, but I do not smoke, actually I just remembered smelling smoke in the Servisair toilet, so I guess there is not.

Is there a smoking area in these lounges?

I used the new No 1 Lounge recently and would highly recommend it. It's pretty swish and well worth the extra fiver. First class bar, nice food and several extra facilities including its own small cinema. Very well appointed, spacious and comfortable. :thumbup

The Servisair Lounge is a piece of shit by comparison. :(

Monkeyman

Thanks for the heads up on the new travellerno1 lounge, did you have many to drink? I like to have 3 or 4 small bottles of beer then 2 or 3 G&Ts before boarding the Eva air flight. As a barman serves you I didn't know if they kept an eye on how much passengers were knocking back.

I agree that the Servisair lounge is minging, but it serves a purpose.

I preferred the SAS London lounge which Eva used to use, they now use the Admirals Club (AA)but it costs about £40 to go in, not worth it IMHO.

If there are no problems in having half a dozen drinks in the TravellerNo1 lounge I don't mind spending the extra cos the Servisair lounge is shite. :chogdee

No problem with drinks, you can have as many as you like. I think I had half a dozen or so. They were even giving out a free glass of champagne when you walked in.

It's better than the SAS lounge IMO. Better food and much better choice of drinks. You can also have a full meal if you want, though you have to pay extra for this. :gulp

Unquestionably worth the extra fiver. I'll definitely use it again. :nod

Last time I travelled, i used the servisair lounge as per normal.

I was shocked to see it so empty!!

When I mentioned this to one of the staff, she said it was because of the new lounge opening next door to them

I had a quick peek at the No1 lounge, and i have to admit the new lounge looks 10 times better then the servisair lounge.

Hopefully this will give servisair a kick up the :moon to try and tidy up their lounge now :clueless
