I normally put my cash down the front of my whitey tighties.

Nobody has ever tried to reach in there especially if I have worn the same underpants for 3 days or more.

This being a serious request and all, I add in. First, I carry a leather pouch with a copy of the passport and cash. Usually between 5-10,000 baht for a night out. I organize the cash for easy distribution, as Thai money I'm not as familiar with. All the cash is folded over one time, Twenties on the bottom, then 50's, 100's, and 1000 baht notes, folded over once. In the darker go-go's I don't have to fumble so much.

Back in the loom.First stop always is with reception, for the girl to drop off the ID. The suitcase with valuables has small locks to dissuade a rip. Passport, credit cards, and main cash in hotel safe. I ALWAYS keep my clothes with my little money on the opposite side of the loom than the girl. I usually go to shower with my shorts and shower with leaving the money pouch in the shorts on the bathroom floor.

This protocol is for short time only. For the Long time short time, I tend to relax the rules a bit, though ALWAYS keep the main cash in the safe.

OBLA DEE BRO!

Sorry to hear that, but it does explain a few other sort-of weird posts of the past.

I always use the safe in whatever establishment I am staying in. Whenever I go out I use a small wallet with just enough money to cover my possible expenses for the night and it is is my front pocket. I keep my bills in order of denomination as the wallet has a built in money clip. If I am wearing a shirt with pockets, I usually put it in there as the shirts I wear have velcro pockets. I have been using this method since my days in Viet Nam (71) and haven't ever had a problem. Not saying they haven't tried, but never successfull (knock on wood); About the only time I even came close was once on a baht bus coming from Residence Gardens down to Walking Street. 3 Thai women, one with a small child got on and 2 of them immediately sat on both sides of me. The younger one with the child engaged me in conversation whilst the other 2 were trying to get my wallet. I jumped up and yelled at the driver to call the police at which time the 3 of them got off and were saying what I take as some pretty nasty stuff to me in Thai. That was as close as I have ever been to having my wallet picked and it wasn't even really close as it was early in the evening and I was stone cold sober. Later on in the evening it might have been a different story, but then there wouldn't have been much baht for them to get.

Some poor TG with a lurker membership probably tossed her tom yum because of that.
