Coming off of a couple of months of a Diet Coke shortage, bars in Pattaya now cannot get Tonic Water.

Diet Coke has started appearing in stores, just about the same time as the tonic water dried up.

So, if you're in the mood for a Gin Tonic, you might have to shop around.

For the moment, FLB has tonic water.

I went to five gogos last night, and the only one with tonic water was Roxy...and they were on the last of it.

I snagged the last 4 cans out of all 7-Eleven's on Khao Talor and Khao Noi about 2 weeks ago....... seriously pissed off coz I have a bottle Tanquerey and a bottle Bombay just standing in the cabinet, looking at me, taking the piss! Even tried it with Schweppes Manao Soda the other night........ way too sweet! Now if anyone's coming back from Cambodia and can bring a case of Schweppes Bitter Lemon...........??

Same same with dry ginger ale as far as I can tell, haven't been able to get any for a while, and it's my favourite whisky mixer.

Do you think there is someone somewhere pulling all the strings with these shortages?

I am fed up of looking for Shweppes Tonic and Mae Now cans (like bitter lemon)...... been going round the shops for the last 2 weeks.

Shweppes soda seems to be available.

It has been unavailable in Nong Khai since Christmas. i was hoping supplies would resume but from the above I guess not.

We must have had some local inventory, and now we've burned through it.

Haad Thip (Coca Cola) - the Schweppes stuff is, or rather isn't, produced at their (flood affected ) plant in Pathum Thani rather than the main plants in Had Yai and Haad Thip. I think Chang has/had a similar situation getting its soda waters back on the shelves.

Hi MM,

I can confirmed what you said:

I ask for Shweppes Tonic last night at Baccara and they didn't have it any more.

Coke Light (aka Diet Coke) is back though ^_^ . (99 baht)

BTW, I confirme than LD is 115 baht at Baccara and Happy group, even if it was 125 at the begin of January...

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi. I come back from Tops in Tukcom ground floor;

they have Tonic Water (cans & a few 4x6 big packs)

they have Coke Light (6-packs & 4x6 big packs)

they have every can I thought about: Schweps, Sprite, Coke, Coke Zero, Fantas, Ice Teas, Green Teas, ...

Looks like everything is (nearly?) back to normal. :)

Seems to be the case.

We've got stocks of everything except Schweppes Lemon, which my staff tells me is still hard to get, at least as of last week.

Neither Schweppes Mae Niaow or Tonics on my last visits to Big C and Tesco.
