I was there Tom; much to the chagrin of my nephew, who more often than not this season gets the use of my season ticket. Great atmosphere as you would expect but I missed the second goal  thanks to a group of morons just in front of us. :wanker: Good to actually win it at a home match; rather than have it unfold on TV while the team are inactive. :clap2

Hi,

Congrats to Man Utd for winning the Premier League. They have proved the most consistent team, which is what the League is about. I thought Spurs showed bottle to come back against Man City on Sunday. City and Chelsea have played at a higher level than United on occasions this year but have been unable to do it on a regular basis. It's a shame that we have no teams at the business end of the Champions League tonight.

It was quality. Have you got a ticket for the Chelski game?

Unfortunately can't make that one as I am in Victoria, Canada at the time. :( Nephew has the ticket again, as has been the case for a lot of this particular season. In fact my ticket has cost me about 250 pounds per game in effect! Mai bpen rai! :allright :chogdee2

Hi,

Wigan were unlucky not to beat Spurs yesterday. Being in the FA Cup final should help keep their players on their toes till the end. Champions Man City are playing nice football now but it's too late. Man Utd are in London today, let's hope they have been celebrating! Champions of Europe, Chelsea, should be applauded for getting to the Europa final and keeping an English interest in European competition.

Hi,

Remember that Liverpools record is superior in Europe.

Not likely to improve for a spell though is it? :D

Hi,

Nidnoyham was a good poster on this thread for years. I was thinking of him the other day when I saw Brentford hit the bar from a penalty in the last minute. If they had scored they would have been promoted. The other team went up the field and scored to go up to the Championship. Brentford have to go into the play offs. Good luck boys.

Hi,

Villa seem safe after another good win. Lambert and his team will have learnt a lot this season. Benteke has been a great signing and should have been awarded Young Player of the Year. Wigans good form has brought half the league back in danger of relegation with their usual late good form. I'll be hoping Wigan stay up again and beat City in the FA Cup Final. It's a good scrap for the last two CL places. Arsenal haven't been great this year but must have a good chance of beating Spurs for one of the positions. I consider Chelsea a good thing for the other place.

PS: Congrats to Hull City for making it back to the Premier League.

Hi,

A great day for wac as David Moyes blue army land the handicap again. Chelsea beat United again. It's a mystery to many how Man Utd have won the league so easily this year. Chelsea have proved far superior in the head to heads. It's no mystery to me however. The answer is RVP.

:clueless They've played each other twice in the Premier League and won one game each and scored/conceded the same number of goals (three). Apparently the referee in the first game was a racist.

Hi,

Dont forget they played each other in the FA Cup as well. Most neutral observers have serious reservations about the refereeing at Stamford Bridge.

I know, but the games are irrelevant as far as the Premier League form is concerned.

You talk a lot of shit when it comes to football but you have surpassed yourself with this little nugget of wisdom. Are you actually as clueless as you make out when it comes to football or do you do it for a laugh?

:clueless Why all the personal attacks, Sam? FFS, it's a bit of footie banter and his opinion is as valid as anyone's - yours included.

Hi,

Good point for Sunderland with 10 men. Swansea travel to Wigan toniight with little to play for so I'm hopeful for Wigan. Martinez is one of the main architects of the Swansea success story so there will be no desire among Swansea supporters to relegate him. They face an away game at the Gunners a few days after the Cup final so that will be tough for them. They have to hope that Villa are safe when they make the trip to Wigan on the final day of the season.
