My gf had a day off from hotel today. We went for a good walk, and yes,she is thai and walking, then she wanted some new underwear,no pics lads.We went shopping for food, etc, cost 2,800 baht, then we decided to try an indian restaraunt we have seen off klang, 700 baht for 2 chicken dishes,2 small nans and 2 rice, with a coke and nam.Too salty overall and 5/10 for effort, will not be going back.Another day in the life of a retiree.

Yes the boat trip to Koh Larn is a good option with a girl. However this time of year there is the risk of rain storms and rough sea. Girls from Isaan have no sea legs and sea sickness is torture for them.

Very nice in good weather however, particularly if they wear a skimpy bikini.

Thanks a lot lads, what about water village, not sure about exact name, is it floating or something?

The "Floating Market" south on Sukhumvit is ok. I stopped there on one of my bicycle rides, but it was free and heard they may now charge admission. It's sort of like Mike's Shopping Mall and the Tues/Friday Soi Buakow market, but in small shops on and around brown water and higher priced for the busloads of tourists.

I think the other suggestions above are much better, especially Nong Nooch, Movies at the Malls, et al plus adding:

Big Buddha

Go Cart racing

Massages

Mini-Siam

Pattaya Orphanage

Soi Buakow market on Tues/Fri

Wat Chaimongkol (Pattaya Tai)

and having a drink and stroll around any of the very nice resort hotels in Naklua or near Pratamnak.

Yes, I think the floating market is rubbish.

It was overpriced when free!

Thanks again lads,.,

Been a slight change of plans, I thought I was in love, I am sure it has never happened to you, so I will take advice for my next encounter.

I would have sworn it was love, oh the ignominy of finding it was my wallet.

If you are superstitious then tread carefully around Nong Nooch.

I have had two Thai women tell me of a superstition that if a couple visits Nong Nooch, then it breaks up soon after.

Maybe an opportunity for some...

In that case take yourself to Soi 6.

You’ll soon find a new love there – but make it a short-time love and don't forget to post some pictures (of your wallet).

Brilliant as he was ,Cicero repeatedly chose the wrong side and though he ended up in The Forum, it was with his head nailed to the Speaker's platform.

I agree with DrPat...... Soi 6 short times area little less risky.

i sometimes like an afternoon at Pattaya Park. Can't wait for the new parks to be built. The one on the road to Bang Sarae is coming along and supposed to be completed by end of spring next year...we'll see!
