Where to buy a swim suit for a guy (farang sized guy)

Recommended Posts

I seem to have lost my bathing suit, left behind at the last place I visited, I guess.

Where is a good place to buy farang sized suit in Pattaya. An XL I have found with shirts, might fit a slightly larger than average Thai but it is not a North American XL so I suspect the same for swim suits. And a place like Mikes is not too easy to try something on.

Cost is not a huge deal because they don't cost that much. But not the Nike or Benneton store either.

I wish I knew this because I could have gone to Walmart today.

Try Outlet Mall next to Tescos……….failing that Tesco themselves are stocking Russian sizes.

If you're stuck to shopping in Pattaya then there's a shop on the first floor of the Big C North Pattaya that just does swimwear.

I think the problem with trousers/shorts/pants etc off-the-peg is the cut, as much as the size - they're not designed for fat-arses. I gave up ages ago trying to force myself into clothes that are designed for East Asian guys ... better to order online and/or get a mate to bring it over from UK.

Tom….. you could try Torque's pre-fight regime and tell us your fitness triumphs in modest detail up until the time arrives for your now svelte arse to slide into a pair of East Asian, teflon-coated, non-stick, polar-necked undies....

Down here, kevlar, rather than teflon-coated, tend to be the most popular. :ninja:

Coincidentally I noticed a good selection of swimwear in BigC-X only yesterday.

Plenty of tourists shopping there so I think your size could be accommodated.

Failing that a sock some elastic.

Sounds extravagant I know, but one of my employees, who is a bit of a "big ol' boy" got caught in exactly the same predicament as you GP. He got one of the tailor shops to rustle up a couple of pairs for not too much Baht. They appeared the same day he ordered. Having said that, he regularly uses them for shirts and troos etc.

I thought a swimsuit was a one piece when swimming long distance in cold water,in the uk we say swimming trunks or swimming shorts,we dont wear bras

Might help with the wobbling and the Back pain.

Not for me!

I was at the Dr's yesterday with my wife………(We're trying to have a baby) and the Dr turns to me and says, "Khung Atlas, I'll need a stool sample, a urine sample, and a sample of your semen." My wife pointed at my crouch and said, "Tee lack, he wants your underpants!! "

I am sure it was very entertaining in the waiting room.

Over the plastic chair looking at the Africa pages in National Geographic?

When I was there the nurse gave me a little plastic cup and said she needed a stool sample.

I looked at the little thing and suggested 'you haven't seen one of my turds have you?'

Funny you should say that…...

I went to an optician. He covered one eye and asked me to read letters from top to bottom on a card stuck to a wall.

"C D Q

H T U

X J R

S L M

Made in Hong Kong"

I did the same with the other eye and he said, "Mr Atlas you have perfect 20/20 vision. What's your problem?"

I opened the cardboard shoe box I'd brought with me and showed him an enormous turd…….."Every time I pass one of these it makes my eyes water!!"

I hope so.

I brought mine back in a filled shoebox too.

The nurse said 'I only needed a small sample mastermind!'

I said 'I started so I'll finish'

Can't say they ever caught on in the USA as far as I know.

Okay, about that swimwear...and on the topic of string wear...perhaps this would do?
