OK having a bad day,first off i get my 15MB package from 3BB.Im not sure i would go as far as calling it shit,lets

just say its not much better than the free True internet i had before.I think this a mistake thats cost me 11500B.

Only time will tell.

 

So next step is to go buy True money to use on I Love HD TV.I get 350B worth,then go about creating an account

only to find the said package wants 450 points not 350.

It might be covered already - but is there a VPN or proxy program on your Minix boxes so that the DRTV app (similar to I player for BBC) will see me as in Denmark.

I tried Hola on my Ubuntu laptop but DRTV (Danish national TV) was not fooled.

OK i need help here guys.

 

I now have my full 450B for one month to use on iLikeHD,its tells me i have to update.Updates on my laptop no problem.On Minix i havent a clue where to even begin.Heeeeeelp

I have just done a 3BB speed test....14 Mbps.

 

So why when im watching the cricket or F1 on ilieHD app,the speed only shows just over 4Mbps and is

buffering constantly.Any suggestions?

If the other channels are ok the the problem lies with the bandwidth of the server that Ilikehd is stealing the station from. Lots of problems reported about CTH this week.

Hmm - you are probably right - but I have had many channels buffering and then a few playing smoothly.

Still it is strange that many people seem to be able to get the same channels to play without buffering ?

Hi Steve, We are not having any problem from our end but if user that use True or 3BB internet they will have routing problem because from the provider them self.

I guess hes saying,True and 3BB are pretty shit lol.

The upshot is hes has moved me to a different server at his end for a trial.

my 5 cent to the subject,

 

we have to deal with 3 issues,

 

- the hardware

- the software

- the internet connection.

 

Lets start with the last point,

 

- the internet connection.

 

if you have a 10 MB Download contract with TOT,

it means, you have 10 MB on THAI websites in Thailand,

if you do a speedtest to a server in singapore,

you will see, that there is a limit, that reduces the speed,

cause TOT doesn`t want to buy to many expensive international slots,

so there is a sharing of the rented slots between all TOT users, that want access to international internet at the same time,

that means, at 20.00 pm, the speed is horrible, too many users,

low season in Pattaya, its OK, and so on.

 

I have a slingbox in europe, connected with an 10 MB upload and 50 MB download internet account,

- the streams of my ip cameras in my home in europe, - no HD, or I get a pic every 20 seconds,

only low resolution, and I got a pic nearly every second.

Same with my sling box, SD programms, only to "the right time" fair to use, (buffering every 5 to 20 minutes)

the "wrong time", when many users are sharing the international band,

no fun, cause buffering every 20 seconds.

 

Just check yourself, when you watch youtube HD Videos to different times,

so you get the right impression of your web infrastructure.

 

Next point,

 

- the hardware

we have different android boxes

we have minix,

we have MX3, MX5, MXQ

and so on ...

the best results, you get with a non android roku 3 box, if you watch youtube HD,

cause the box itself can be a brake.

Thats the reason, that may box sellers don`t use the android OS, but changed to open elec OS.

The performance of the box is getting better, and comes closer to your notebook results.

Some boxes had an overheating issue, like the MXQ.

The MXQ is very popular for thai people, cause they could use a true pirate company in China,

to get a full package for 250 bt a month, with many english programms in hd quality.

But if you have a video surveillance system, like the synology,

and you wants also install the app from the google playstore,

or also the slingbox app,, or Line App,

you need an android box, like the MX3, where it is possible (no way, with the MXQ)

But the problem, - these apps reduce the performance of certain software programm,

that why developer changed to open elec, and cut off the playstore door, with android OS.

Last point,

- the software

for many users, they want a product, that is working for at least 1 year, without any problems,

and without any changes.

But,

this is something, a pirate software company can`t deliver.

We have many, that uses kodi, installed on pc,(good to learn, befor buying a box)

or on an android box with OS, or on a open elec OS.

3 month ago, my UK channels on my kodi where ok,

(done in my home in europe, with my MX3)

but a few weeks, after I`ve done the vdo,

it wasn`t working anymore, so, searching again, for an update,

and thats reality with kodi,

things are changing in weeks,

the product is not crap, but the concentration on kodi means,

what is working today, is history in 3 weeks.

Well didn't think I needed to start a new thread........So just saying last night I watched, 'The Night Manager' on Kodi..(genesis).....Really enjoyed it.....Le Carre' knows his stuff.

 

Recently and before release seen all the Oscar nominations........Up-to-date with all the series I like......and of course get lashings of sport.

 

These boxes.......(I got mine from a different supplier) are great. Best thing I've ever bought here.

Phil has moved back to the UK and probably doesn't supply the boxes anymore here. There is shop in Tukcom that stocks Minix boxes if you need one. A-mego is it's name. They sell loaded neo U1 for 6000 baht. Not tried their box so can say how good the software they put on the box is. There is a guy on PA that sells the same box for 6200 Footymadstreams, have seen his box and it is nothing special just a basic kodi build but he will deliver in pattaya for that price.
If Phil still did the boxes then i would still buy from him because of his set up and support.

He may be in the UK, but so am I. I cant access his forum and need to talk with him about my box I bought from him earlier this year.
