From what I know, if someone makes a complaint against you and the Police decides the files must be in Court, then they automatically signal your passport number so that you cannot leave the country.

If ever you have already exited the country, you are in the case of these 2 guys. The Immigration computer will remember that you have "a problem" to solve with the Court, and I am unsure if there here is a time limit for that.

This is pleasing and surprising.

I am pleased that some twats who skipped without paying their bill got their come-uppance.

I am surprised that in a country where terrorists and criminals seem to go and come quite easily, they can catch up with a couple of bill skippers.

That is a high lunch bill and, if it was a 'forgetful error', the diners should have forwarded the money to the resort by mail (with an apology). Staff members would most likely have had to make up the shortfall. If you think it is a bit over the top, Chester, try it and see what happens....
