Thai Airways hopes to resume flights to USA

Recommended Posts

Thai stewardesses asked only Thai's if they wanted to move to a window seat ( many empty window rows) so they'd have the row to themselves, nobody next to them. Farang were sitting four across in the middle row and none were asked if they'd like a more comfortable seating arrangement. This was on LAX to BKK flight; I won't give them that opportunity again.

It is always disappointing to read about the bad treatment other's receive. I wonder if that attitude helped them lose money on the North American route before?

I've flown Thai a couple of times. Service back in economy was fine.

I've flown to Bangkok on Thai a few times. The first time was on a 747 out of LAX, stopping in Japan. Back then, the service was excellent. Good food, all the wine you could drink, hot towels, etc. My next trips on Thai were all on the non stop flights. Once from JFK and a few times from LAX. Those flights were on an A340-500. I guess they were discontinued when the fuel prices went up and they were no longer profitable.

All in all, I'd say it was a good airline.

Put a date on that BigD, things change and recent reports aren't so good.

That's the reason that I quit flying Thai, I was flying biz and they filled it up with Thais that they upgraded. Like you, I didn't give them a second chance.
