Hi,

The weekend showed the difference between the present Chelsea and Arsenal teams. Both visited deadbeat midland towns. While Chelsea prevailed against a tough Stoke team, Arsenal were bullied by a limited WBA. We were crying in our beer around the Seven Sisters Road. :cry1 I'm sure they were dancing on the tables in Rileys. :party

Hi,   C'mon man.City were vastly superior. I'm not a City fan BTW.

typical liverpool ... your bet will be sunk by the end of march ..... are you a liverpool fan lol

only ones that are breathing :)

Hi,

The Scouse derby is the game of the weekend. It's at a bad time in the schedule as both teams have suffered injuries in the International games and these games are often dependent on how players arrive back from all over the World. Will they have been indulging with their fav chiquitas while they have been free of the wife ? Arsenal face a difficult home game against Man City. Hoping for the best in that one.

Hi,

Liverpool prove too strong for an inexperienced Everton line up. Chelsea play well but are beaten by Palace. Great performance by Hennessy in goal. :clap1 Marco Silva deserves great credit for breathing life back into Hull City. Arsenal hold out for a point against Man City.

Hi,

Chelsea beat City to clinch the title IMO. Hull have another great win, they deserve to get out of trouble. Arsenal have their hopes of a top 4 finish increased after poor shows from Liverpool and Man Utd.

My team just don't want it enough and all these draws will be our downfall and cost us a top four finish. We play better football under Mourinho but we still have the same problem we had under Van Gaal which is that we don't score enough goals. Looking at the remaining last nine fixtures I can't see United finishing in the top four if I'm honest and our only salvation looks like winning the European Subsidiary Cup in order to qualify. And if we don't qualify for the Champions League? Well, the club will spend another 200 million on players in the summer and keep throwing money at it until we start to win things again. I can't wait. Soon the whole squad will be comprised of overpaid, under achieving prima donnas that couldn't give a fuck what they win as long as they get paid the obscene amounts of money each week. I'm becoming increasingly disillusioned with the state of football in England with every year that passes.

Hi,

I agree. I was chatting to some Chelsea fans on the way to a game recently and they agreed if players dont want to play unless they get obscene payrises(like Sanchez and Ozil at Arsenal) sell them on. Fans want to see players who really want to play for the team. All we are getting theses days is, in the main, players who will only play for the highest bidder.

Hi,

West Ham v Swansea seems the game of the weekend. Swansea are in greater need of a result as they are in serious danger of going down. West Ham should survive but need to up their game. Boro and Sunderland look down. Who will join them ?

poor Watford.

or maybe pour through Watford, they are a sieve.

Hi,

They are safe. Looked like they had little interest in trying to beat Spurs.

Leicester played well early, even had the lead at 2-1 but Everton with Lukaku were too strong. Leicester has turned around the season since changing managers.

Hopefully Everton can keep Lukaku after the season.

Hi,

I like Evertton, but I think they may struggle to keep Lukaku and Koeman. Looks like they are moving in the right direction, but it may take a few more years. If they keep Koeman they have a chance to do it quicker.

Hi,

Chelsea face a tough game away at Man Utd. United are not the team of Keane, Scholes, Giggs etc.. so I expect Chelsea to have a good day. The bookies make United favs.

Hi,

Brighton, a sunny place for shady people,(Graham Greene) are back in the Big League. Happy for Chris Houghton, as he was badly treated when he was kicked out of Toon. Newcastle themselves are making hard work of their return.

Hi,

Liverpool are beaten by Palace which gives hope to Man Utd and Arsenal in the race for CL places. Man Utd face a difficult away game at Man City. That should be well worth a watch. :fight Finsbury Park was buzzing last night after Arsenals win and Spurs defeat. :party

Hi,

Frustration was the order of the day as the 2 favs at the start of the season played to try win a top 4 finish. Fellaini proved the lame dupe this time round.

If Lukaku can do the business against Chelseaand Spurs beat the Arse then we are looking at a Wacalicious end to the season..

Also if Newcastle get deducted enough points for tax evasion then Leeds may make it into the play offs..

Hi,

Not for wac. :o It looks like our long run of St Totteringham days are over.

The final day of last season still sends shivers down the spines of Tottenham fans.

Needing just a point to finish above Arsenal for the first time in 21 years, Spurs were beaten 5-1 by already relegated Newcastle – allowing Gunners fans to celebrate ‘St Totteringham’s Day’ for yet another year.

Since 1995, Spurs have finished above every single team to play in the Premier League – apart from Arsenal.

Sunderland relegated.

What did ManU ever see in David Moyes?

A good record at Everton, winning manager of the year 3 times and a Scottish heritage.

Do you think he is done in the EPL or other top leagues?

I suppose if he won a Champions League that might help. What are the odds of that?

Hell if I know.... no great football buff myself. I am waiting for the results of tonight's games in lower leagues!

Don't see Moyes managing a Champions League winner though.... he will get a job. There is a shortage of managers and even the worst seem to be given a chance, take the millions £ and move on to pushing another side towards relegation.

I am not sure if it is the same there but in American sports they tend to recycle many of the same guys. Rather than try a new coach or manager, they go to the same mediocre guys from past mediocre teams. That is not completely true but more common place than one would expect. Perhaps they are loyal as an institution to lifers.

Hi,

It was a dark, dismal night for us in North London. :cry4: Looks like 2 of the most successful teams in English football are going to miss out on the CL.
