Hi Guys, I am from Singapore, and last year I visited Pattaya City :). It's a beautiful country. I used only an entry DSLR to document my trip.

Here is the link to the video:

Appreciate if you guys can let me know what you think about it.

What makes you think that Pattaya is a great city? I personally think Pattaya has gone seriously downhill.

I liked the video. It isn't a Chang beer advert by any chance?

Hi Jacko,

hahaha no it's not an advert for Chang, I thought it looks interesting to document the bottle rolling. Based on the video, do you think I captured the essence of Pattaya culture?

Yes I think so.... or at least the fast flash-bys you get as you wander around.

The old guy smoking a cigarette looks very much like a friend of mine.

I feel dizzy.....I don't come from the era of 2 second attention span...... Show it to some skool kids or some goldfish...

I agree.

I have the same problem with many new movies, usually when they use CGI extensively.

Hi Bullfrog,

Wow that's rare. I understand, because a lot of people have short attention span. But what are your other thoughts on the video?

I see that you included Nong Nooch but if you had carried on up the road a couple of hundred metres and turned right into Bang Saray you would have discovered what used to be a little expat "secret" ...if you had filmed only a year or so ago and again this year your undoubted skill with the camera and editing would have captured the contrast perfectly......... The litle bars and eating places all flatenned now in the name of progress. There are some new gaudy beach huts now next to my favourite seafood restaurent and in front of what was a pretty tastefull new development. The sea is now filthy. I could have cried when I went there a couple of weeks ago......tragic bloody tragic.....but I am sure you would have done a good job flashing back and forth in time .....

It was simply a nice little village with a nice quiet beach area ideal for eating seafood and drinking beer but over the past few years it has been built up....

You could park the truck right nearby, throw down the tailgate and have a bit of a party. Although I did get told I wasn't permitted to tie my hammock up there. A lot of these old pleasures are no more.
