So good to know. I am awake the same time you call it a night Teelack. Thanks.  On the air quality a question for the experts. Yesterday was completely clear for miles. Today from my balcony Leam Chabang is barely visible and nothing to Ko Larn. Does the pollution change that quickly or is this meteorological?

Replying in this topic to avoid going too far astray in @la8rat's topic.

This time of year we'll have more bad air days than good due to meteorological conditions that will vary day by day. This morning was particularly bad because we had a slight overcast which prevented the sun from heating up the landmass and breaking through the nighttime inversion layer.

Below is a C&P of a post I made on another forum as to why see more bad air days in the cooler winter months.

The reason why rain, or any silly attempt by the govt to spray the air with water, doesn't do much to alleviate the air pollution this time of year...

As we enter into the cooler "winter" months, the winds shift to predominantly offshore winds which in turns means we see less of the cleaner air over the ocean and more of the air pollution from the industrial estates around Pattaya. To add to the fun, later in December we'll have to contend with the winter inversion layer which traps all the gunk in the air closer to the ground. It's the industrial estate pollution that is the primary source air pollution around here rather than farmers burning their fields.

The tall building at the back of the photograph is Bangkok Pattaya Hospital.  The photograph is looking directly towards the sun.  Taken 0755 this morning.

Looking towards Terminal 21 and beyond.  Overall I think it is worse than yesterday; that said Air Quality does not correspond to Visibility.

The SNDWAY showed readings of between 135 and 148 on the balcony; I had turned of the Air Conditioning and closed the door to take these readings.

Taken 0720 this morning.  This for me was the most impactful image.  Bangkok Pattaya Hospital is approximately 2 km from my location; normally the sign at the top of the building is clear.

All images are straight out of camera with no post processing with the exception of one image which I had to straighten.

Probably coincides with those mornings I feel  tight chested. The haze is apparent Infront of the distant trees and suggests some burning is going on at nightime.
