TDAC - Thailand Digital Arrival Card commences 1 May
Bazle replied to Bazle's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I have a mate who is flying from the UK to Thailand tomorrow with some other guy (XXX). I have just received this message from him, which I think is worth sharing: "XXX and I had a fun time trying to get our TDACs sorted yesterday. Whether it was using my phone, my PC, XXX's work PC or his private one, we were getting drop-downs that didn't do so, text that we inserted into those fields disappearing, and eventually getting Bad Gateway error messages that even prevented us from getting back into the site. We tried again around 10pm, and it was an absolute breeze, with no issues whatso -

The story I heard was that they ran it while a member of the rf attended university in the US, and stopped it after. The security certificate angle is also plausible. Those flights were interesting in that no matter which of the three possible routes they took (west, east, or due north/south) the flight duration was nearly the same. -

Adam Pickles Assaulted in Pattaya.
Firepole replied to Rob's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
It was assault until the victim died. Now, if his death is determined to be as a result of the assault, I suspect a charge of manslaughter/murder might be considered. It would surprise me that the legal authorities don't know of his whereabouts. -

I went to Malaysia oblivious to their requirements until stood in a queue at immigration when realising I needed to fill it in online unbeknownst to me it wasnât fake but you had to pay which I unwittingly did and all done. Later I realised Iâd been had and you can do it for free on the qovt website. Be warned the same scam will be going on here. Lesson learned. -
Finally, direct flight from Los Angeles to Bangkok

I use to use the jfk to bkk flights back in the day. Thai Airways said they were not cost effective and pulled out of the U.S. . I understand they had a problem with their US security certifĂcate also. I understand they are now looking at restarting the route as the new aircraft are more fuel efficient and working at getting their security certifĂcate upgraded. Cathy Pacific has had the US to HKG non-stop flights for years. 16 hours plus and on about another 3 to BKK. -

That's wild.I would have to think about cancelling and booking another carrier. My current flight, and all I want to ever do, is my 45 minute to BKK. They installed Business class seating at the front. I was a pretty spoiled guy when I flew but I'm not seeing 5,500 baht when economy is 2550 for 45 min. -

Jeez from a 380 to a 737? Like booking a limo and getting a Kia Soul. 𤣠-

I would not drive a motorcycle all the way from Pattaya to Bangkok. I do not trust the other drivers enough to make that trek. As a fellow Septuagenarian I like cars. Full size cars. LOL. If I ever return to Thailand I will try to fly Asiana on a 380 if the price is similar. Well I'll first try the non-stop from Vancouver. But I think they have priced it over my pain threshhold. -

I loved the A380. Hawaiian to Hawaii and return. A couple of trips to Bangkok and back with Emirates. I don't normally look which plane is flying the route when booking,as they often change them. But I was highly pissed when the A380 I was booked on was changed to a 737 -

Yea the carriers found despite the increased loads the A380 is not cost effective. I missed the era of Nonstop Thai 17 hour JFK-Bkk. that would have been sweet.I don't fly anymore. My family can visit me here though I miss the freedom of Arizona and throwing dice in Vegas. I wish Thailand had a General Aviation sector, I'd buy a cheap plane and commute to Pattaya on my own. I thought about riding the CBR to Bangkok but had to face my 70 y/o body is quite different than my 30 y/o body.
