  1. Just about any hotels that suits your needs will call your room if you want because you can ask them to take the ladies ID card off her when you enter. Although this is not policy at all hotels I am sure that if you explain what you need they will be more than happy to oblige especially if a pink 100 baht tip was submitted to the receptionist with your request.
  2. There are usually adverts in the Pattaya newspaper classified section on people who take care of stray dogs. Failing that I believe that Tony has a shelter for sick and abandoned dogs.
  3. Stayed at Mind resort excellent sister hotel to Areca but a good 10 - 15 minutes walk from the action. Area can be a bit dodgy at night Friend stayed here and loved it Nova Platinum again good clean hotel near the action Areca is a good hotel in excellent location although wings 1 & 2 are begining to show signs of wear.
  4. Sure you did not ask for 2 pieces as I eat there all the time and either me or g/f have fish and chips and I have never seen this happen to us or others around us.
  5. Just to add to Fat Controllers post I can also recommend Gazelle, here is Gordons contact details Gordon Lawrence Branch Manager Tel: 0191 2618616 Fax: 0191 2618624 Gazelle Travel Limited - Low Cost Air Travel Specialists
  6. Chinas business class seat is more like a premium economy seat than business. The planes are mostly old 747's with the odd new one but the seating is the same only leather on the new ones. They were selling this flight just over 1 year ago at £1000 return from any regional airport via Amsterdam and at that price it was good value. The only really good thing about this flight are the times arriving BKK at about 7am and returning at 2am from BKK. Be careful of potential long stop overs in AMS on the return leg.
  7. the place is on the market for about that price for a 6 year lease and a rent of 45000 baht per month for the whole building including 9 rooms, website and a 24/7 mini mart on the ground floor. It is advertised in the buy and sell on Secrets and Addicts.
  8. Try any Thai hardware shop, they all sell they in small and large sizes. Examples are on corner of 3rd road and soi lengkee, Pattaya Klang between 2nd and 3rd roads and many on Siam Country club, Soi Koi Noi & Soi Koatalo. IMHO you can get a proper one that wont rust for between 1500 and 3000 baht from one of the DIY stores. Home Pro etc. The Thia ones rust quickly.
  9. This is Mr T as I use him at least twice per month. As I said in another thread months ago Mr T has had an accident / incident and is currently paralysed and unable to do fuck all. I think the business is being run for him with a chance of being sold on in the near future should his health not improve. I have been assured that the service and price structure will remain the same but we shall just have to wait and see on this. By the way Meow the lady with the black civic is Mr T's neice, and pretty nice with it.
  10. I agree here I fly this route twice monthly and have been upgraded 90% of the time so the A380 is definately due here soon. I even heard EK were thinking of adding another flight but with potential for 2 A380's in a day I doubt the demand would be there, especially now that HIGH season is over.
  11. Stinky Posted Yesterday, 04:47 AM That's what I have been doing recently as well. Less hassle, don't have to walk all over hell to get to the car. I usually get a newer Isuzu MU7 to take me to Chonburi for 1,500 baht. I just put it on my credit card, and write it off on my travel expenses. The only bad thing about this option is, you got to pay the fucking rort prices for beer at the airport. Exactly where do you get this service for tha price please?
  12. Dont think this was the case with Chilli & Pepper. The owners spent a fortune doing up the whole building including the rooms above but then had some disagreement and I believe that they decided to call it a day and sell up. Pretty good location IMHO for both a good restuarant and quality room rental business.
  13. Try Ibis, Dusit, Holiday Inn, Amari all North Pattaya but not all second road. All have excellent facilities and lifts but all are quite pricey. Ideal for a relaxing holiday.
  14. Passed by last week several times and although the build itself seems finished I think they are still working on the internal fit out.
  15. I dont know if this is a take over or just a name change but my Mr. T driver on Monday told me that Mr T. has had an accident and is currently paralysed and thus unable to work. Seemingly been like this for the last couple of weeks. Still the same cars and drivers as before though so who knows.
  16. If you need a quick sale will give you 19000, PM me if interested.
  17. Just book the room for 2 people and tell them your girlfriend will be joining you later. I am also a Platinum card holder and have mongered in many Asian IHG hotels over the last few years and never been approached, even if I was I would just tell them to fuck off. I was in the Crowne Plaza in KL last week and just about every other guest had a lady from the Beach Club on their arm and no one batted an eyelid.
  18. Hi Crowsnest did not mean any offence I am just pointing out there is a different forum for this sort of thing, I was just pissed off coz I was expecting a dark side crawl report that is all.
  19. If your advertising a business which this clearly is it should be in the business section. This is clearly not a trip report.
  20. This is a pretty good system and has been operating in Walking Street during the daytime for the past 9 months or so. Apart from the odd delivery van the system works well.
  21. Is it advisable to bring your own bottle or will they be supplied free of charge too.
  22. Can only agree with the above. After your last flight with Emirates you will definately be disappointed. The only really good thing is the arrival time in BKK around 0630 and it is approx 5 hours quicker than Emirates form the UK
  23. The new airport T3 is fine if you are there later at night say between 2300 and 0400 in the morning. After this time many filghts arrive at once and it becomes quite hectic. The duty free is huge and looks great but certainly not many bargains to be had. Many of the branded name goods are actually more expensive than you could get in Europe or online. Several places to eat including sandwhich bars, burger king, coffee shop/bar and an upstairs restuarant where you can smoke. These are mostly locate at the T1 end of T3 and are grouped together. As far as other smoking areas I dont think you
  24. New Year in Pattaya is probably better than in most countries, however like already said above you can get stung for anything between 1000 & 4000 baht extra for the gala dinner on the 31st. Sometimes these events can be an ok start to the evening but they are certainly overpriced.
  25. It seems this will play right into the hands of the middle eastern companies as there is only a £5 increase on economy. The long haul carriers are surely going to have to up there game to attract customers now.
