No, I won't. I get the big bottles of 'Mountain Spring' drinking water...tap water is only fit for showering where I live. I tried a small plastic storage jar, about an imperial pint. Has a spring lid lock and silicone seal. Worked fine and the tea ready in an hour...... Glad to use up some of the tea bags I have had for ages although limes are costing a few baht!

I must admit it has been a while since I received any such emails from them too. Checking for flights recently, Biz Class ex BKK, for the first time Emirates were coming up cheapest. (Between Qatar, Etihad, BA and them). Even though I am no fan of their Biz Class Cabin, particularly on the A380, I do like the limo service.

I recall watching some UK chef on TV making the 'perfect chips', which was what he served up in his restaurant. If I remember they got cooked 3 distinct times, starting with boiling and then fried twice...the final one being in duck fat. Took bloody hours and not quite putting the chip pan on after getting home from the pub, which has killed many!

Dare I mention frozen chips which are then oven-baked. Lower oil content so 'healthy'...... When I was a kid all the chippies peeled and cut their own spuds (most of them had a machine like a hand press for cutting them so to hell with the hand cut part), then deep fried in lard! Tasted good mostly due to liberal salting, but men (who also smoked ) often died in their 50s! I rarely eat fish and chips here, mainly after a few plates whereby what appeared to be a nice large well battered fish seemed to have a mush inside instead of flakes of fish. Likely some 2 headed freshwater fish, not a grouper.

The Al Jazeera link interested me, as I might be in the market for a near new vehicle soon. But it said..... 10 percent of the people on the scheme are defaulting on loans and selling their cars. I thought that those who had bought under the rebate scheme were not allowed to sell their vehicles for a period. Or are they free to do so once the rebate was received? Anyhow, I also feel the baht will fall a little more and will wait until the New Year to send over a chunk of beer tokens. I do have a little concern over US$ strength though, with the upcoming appointment of Janet Yellen and listening to Wac too much!

There were bombs in the south too.... Sadao in Songkla province and a truck packed with explosives found in Phuket. They fixed the Skytrain but you can imagine the chaos that would cause... I bet all the meters on the taxis broke too! Pattaya looks like it is going to be crowded..... being a quick drive from chaotic Bangkok....... Good news, Baht under pressure so more of them for your £/$/Euro etc.
