Perhaps you could try climbing up, and use the available vehicles to come back down? I hope I am remembering the right place....... the vehicle was a frightening and rough ride though. Not much call for skiing accessories in Thailand I think......you should do what I do, last time my Missus suggested such a pilgrimage, I managed to persuade her that she could take the truck and go with a few friends. I am getting too worried of a heart attack in the middle of nowhere due to such extreme effort!

Something to do with either Visa or Mastercard I think. For years I used a foreign ATM card here, as that was where I wanted to get money out-of. At the Aeon machines, just drew 20,000 baht... but as the baht appreciated I was squeezed down and it was apparent my limit was being hit.....( a third currency...not $ or £). So your home bank limit comes into play. I once also had a different (lower) limit on a SCB machine. Sometimes the machine has run low on 1000 baht notes. That foreign ATM facility went away, and now I draw from my Thai account always using the bank's machines. 20kbaht is no problem and I believe by using it multiple times I can get 50k/day.

Hi mate, my water stays just as cold when I have been in there a few minutes as when I first got in! Of course my pool is too small for serious swimming...but I do what I can. The pool at your place has been warmed up somewhat by the urine of all the other people you have to share it with. I, of course, do not urinate in my pool. Nackonchai Air ...Bus Station, turn right out of Klang onto Sukhumvit, on the left. Google Maps See Mongkon...... 3rd Rd, turn left off Klang towards Nua on left, soon after TOT. Google Maps There are many more companies, but these two use large coaches, I used to mostly go 'VIP' via Nakonchai Air. You have to book in advance...it is the Rayong to Ubon route shown here
