  1. The Butterfly Effect.
  2. No no no, that one was offering YOU money.
  3. So now you mean 15-18,000 baht/month, rather than 1500-1800 baht/night? I mean we need to understand you and you aren't making it easy.
  4. Are you looking for a condo or serviced apt? For that length of time I wouldn't be interested in a studio condo (bedsit), and would like a 1 bedroom place. Nor would I want to be surrounded by beer bars and GGBs. There are 3 or 4 places around Jamesons that might fit the bill. Nova Park or Leelawadee on the corner. That is if they haven't been taken over by Russians.
  5. Gary Kemp
  6. It was some months ago and I was talking to an British guy who claimed he had got a visa, while already here, that allowed him a long stay. He had arrived with a 30 day stamp. I did a bit of enquiry and was told he could have obtained a medical visa, allowing a renewable 90 day stay. He used an agency and they handled it. Here it is discussed on Thai Visa...
  7. He provided a link... you can read how much there in his trip report.
  8. Demolition Man
  9. Wouldn't that be 'M' not 'm' ? 'M' being the abbreviation for Mega, 'm' being used for milli.If I see 'mb'...I would think millibar.All just too confusing, bits/bytes,Baud.......
  10. British sir, I am British.
  11. Who,is 'we', do you hang about with a couple of Colombians or do you have Speedy Gonzales in your pocket?
  12. I just snigger to myself... most USA guys haven't got their humour sensor turned on.
  13. I just regard it as an abbreviation of USA... but sometimes I have a bit of fun and say, oh really, which part, Canada?
  14. Are you on one of those silly 'Smart' phones that doesn't display smileys! I wish I had kept notes when I went to the USA but I was asked some really dumb questions like... 'Is it winter over there in England as well as here?'
  15. My you tease....I think we know of another rise in APD of 2.5% will be imposed from April 1, 2013. And that revenue from these taxes is going to be less than originally predicted. Old source You were very specific about Regional Airports, which have been under-utilized so perhaps some investment there?
  16. Argentina is country in South America ..........as are several others.
  17. Nor does what most people think make something a fact. Most USians don't even realise they are part of a bigger continent.
  18. Wrong..... it would likely depend on who I was talking to.It was particularly erroneous in South America when I worked there. In fact it was a friend's Argentinian wife who got me out of that habit after chastising me. It is silly really isn't it, like a Thai saying they come from the country of Asia.
  19. Yeah well on Fox News, they refer to your country as The US...... I notice you do too!
  20. Yes, I have, by people of those American countries! The Americas was a term I grew up with... and no I wasn't born before the canal was finished. The Americas, or America,[2][3][4] are lands in the Western Hemisphere that are also known as the New World. Comprising the continents of North America and South America ....... it isn't my fault the whole country doesn't know it's name.
  21. I was going to say the hospital..... being the best bet. Most of the skin clinics seem to be geared towards complexion problems...pizza faces and whitening. Although I do like some of the girls that hang about out front trying to get the customers in in their short tight skirts... nearly as good as the eye places... and the way prices are going in GGBs may soon be my only source of entertainment!
  22. The Wrestler.
  23. All the rest including Brazil and Argentina or have we forgotten about them?Personally I use U.S.......unlike Australia you are just a small part of the continent.
  24. I sometimes cut through that condo area at the back of Big C-X, goes between Soi Yume and 3rd Rd. At the 3rd Rd end is an Indian restaurant and every time I have passed there seems to be a crowd of Indians out-front. Normally indicative of 'cheap'......
  25. You can eat Indian on both ends of the scale in the UK, where it isn't foreign food!
