Well I just want to get my hands on the little remote gadgets without having to pay some guy for his time, particularly having to come out to where I live. If you just had the motor replaced there may not have been any programming required. The remote for opening my gate is looking pretty beat up after a few years of service... anybody have any idea where I might buy compatible remotes, the small type that go on a key ring? I am hoping just to buy a couple, program those little dip switches inside and that will be all that is required. When I got the place there was only a single remote control and I phoned some guy up to supply more. He said he had to also put a new circuit board in the control box, in parallel with the existing one, and supplied 2 remote controls with that at rather a high cost. Not sure if I was fed a line of BS there!

I can only think of buying the bottles they sell to top off your car battery with. Yes it is humid in the Pattaya area, but if you put the AC on that can be reduced somewhat. So a question might be how cool do you need to be....if you can manage 25 degC I am thinking it might well be humid enough.

Not me, although I just had a really nasty computer problem that forced a reformat and reload to factory condition. Pain in the blood arse... still not certain as to what the cause was, certainly not this site.

I once had a worrying train ride to Nong Khai where an off-duty policeman who was absolutely off his head was waving his gun around. Another time a policeman got fed up of a neighbours dog, which was a problem for anybody trying to ride their bike out of the moo-bahn , he got his gun and shot it dead...... less concerned about that. And there was the policeman's wife recently complaining about the service at a Subaru (I think) dealership waving her husband's gun around. I advocate gun control!!!
