I didn't think there was space to have 2 single beds with a gap between as the side cabinets were in the way. I may recall 2 single beds one time but there was a double mattress used...... I think I first went there in 2001. 9500 baht/week.

The bedrooms in the main block I thought all were the same and had double beds. In fact there was a little cabinet on each side and I am unsure how they would get single beds in. They must have found some old beds in the store and made up a special cheap place in a closet for Pappy!

Well I used to use the place a long time ago...it was okay. No pool, but there were some larger rooms that I always managed to get. Right next to the beach and close to Walking St. Nothing fancy the for me in those days.

Surprised by all this. I used the RG for many years and liked the monthly special price I got, the separate bedroom was a plus for me and that kept the road noise down. I even recommended it to a visiting friend just over a year ago and he liked it. Years ago there wasn't much nearby but there sure is a lot more now. Easy walk into town.... important these days with all the baht buses being full or looking for taxi fares. Often 3 up on a bike to get back! More of the cheaper places are around Soi LK Metro or 7/8 where it will be noisier.

One of the first decisions you have to make is the level of insurance...full cover 60-70,000 baht p.a. depending on your age. Or less/ budget cover maybe 20-30k p.a. The Club offers a group plan.

The ones I want to replace are labelled 'Maxim' and I also have an older one that works which is labelled P.A.T.You really should keep a grip on yours as you never know when you will need a spare (her damned relatives visit ), you lose one or it gets soaked during Songkran!
