  1. I guess you saw the one advertised? Currently a few posts down here?
  2. You see, every now and again one of 'em is nice to you and everything is okay. I actually got some cash from that machine too today, although I gave up the first time as there was a lady seemingly putting a few 100 baht bills into the machine..... and when her card came out she popped it straight back in again. Seconds visit a falang was withdrawing and I swear he got 40,000 baht.... didn't know they could pay out that much.
  3. Caution....
  4. I would guess the main reason being recession cutting back on British people travelling..... rather than the competition (Qatar and Etihad) taking a bigger share?
  5. And some are just plain impatient....... I was hoping to get some cash yesterday from an ATM, and take it from an overseas account. So of course it must be an Aeon machine. I know it can be busy at Tesco in Nua so went the other way, Harbor Mall (Laem Chabang). There was a queue that varied from 4-12 people each time I looked. Beginning of the month is not the time to go, each person seems to be drawing out for himself and 6 family members, transferring money to other accounts, paying phone bills and all other manner of complex operations that take time. A coffee at Starbucks and at least it had clouded over when I left, without my money.
  6. Haha, the old ones are the best. But I don't really go along with the concept that an atheist taking the Lords name in vain is somehow breaking his religious vows. I have found in my life experiences, those who profess or put forth a pious appearance, have below it a vile bigotry.
  7. Perhaps he doesn't self identify with any particular faith, or adheres to none. To proclaim a faith and not adhere to it's tenets and restrictions is perhaps a hypocrisy he highlights. Here are 10 commandments, pick any 4!
  8. For Him'Honey I am exactly big enough'........ 'No specials?' For her 'The doctor told me to cut down on the shorts'...... 'You would be wanting short time?' 'Well if you are not Happy, which one are you?' 'Well of course I go down, just not that far'
  9. Let us be old fashioned and say the front of the hospital is Sukhumvit, like the old 2 up 2 down terrace houses miners lived in. Opposite would always mean across from the front, so yes over Sukhumvit. Didn't want to confuse the issue by mentioning the other market..... at the back of the hospital. People from the UK don't go much for the compass points as directions, we don't carry a compass (except for the one in my Wayfinders when I was 10), and we rarely get to see the sun to help us. You American guys cleverly lay your streets out on the compass grid in some cities.
  10. Sure, you see enough of them smoking these days. I guess it is the old adage of them telling us what they think we want to hear. It is the habit of convicts and prostitutes after all......
  11. I believe the main market is just Saturday and Sunday. Some sellers are setting up on a Friday and might do business... better to just go Saturday...
  12. Ronnie Corbett
  13. Shelley Duvall
  14. Is this to relieve heart attack risk or headaches.Or is it a cat-a-tonic?
  15. In my old house stray cats got into the habit of coming in and helping themselves to my pet's food, which I kept at the back of the house. They could just climb in past the security bars at the open Thai kitchen at the back. Later I blocked that access off using some screening perspex, and that green plastic fencing, up to the roof. That made it a bit of a trap back there and the cheeky buggers just started coming in from the front and walking down the side as if they owned the place. I took to sitting and watching for one to go back there.....then I would sneak out, grab my hose and follow it back there and give it a good drenching. Haven't had so much fun since!
  16. Jack Nicholson
  17. I did...Dennis Hopper
  18. Should be close enough presuming it is turned on and operational and has addresses available.. I don't know how it will look from your computer (I have Vista). But if you right click over your Network Icon in the Notification Area (right side of Task Bar, bottom of screen). You can select 'Connect To A Network'....(It will show you a list of available networks, whether they are secured or unsecured, and even whether you are connected currently or not.) You might be able to figure out from that what is going on. (Your Wireless turned on of course) The Network Icon looks like a screen with a cross, or 2 screens with a little globe if connected with Internet. In Vista you can also get there from 'Start' 'Connect To'
  19. I meant the movie, Star Trek, The Motion Picture Sandra Bullock
  20. Star Trek
  21. Bad time to be a chicken I thought looking at the pics. Then I thought worse time to be a male pig with all the BBQ pork balls on sale.
  22. Which would you rate better, there or Skytops?
  23. Sounds like a matter of 'secure' and unsecured networks. Also quite often you can 'see' a Wireless network with reasonable strength, but when you try to connect to it it 'weakens'. Your room a way from the transmitter? Often they are in the corridors at corners.
