Not fancy mentioning Crazy Dave's. After the Siam Bayview told me their brekky was 300 baht ++ I don't mind paying the Pig and Whistle price!

Luck of the draw, mine has been good for 5 years now...the LG was problematic from the day I plugged it in but subsequently repaired free.Bought mother a Samsung which has been going a long time. All of them made in China anyhow!

The money can simply be redirected to an account offshore in the name of Buster Bulldog.

Well with your handle and the little room, quite a few puns you packed in there.

I just jumped in and bought my Biz Class BKK to Manchester........ Etihad were coming in cheapest (excluding rubbish airlines) and when I took a look recently what was over 98,000 baht last week, was available at 88,060 baht, so I jumped in. Now that it is bought for sure the specials will come pouring out!

La Petite Planete- Updated Jan. 8, 2019
jacko replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
I have always been a little surprised by this...... and pondered why such good little places exist in an area that I make an effort to avoid. I would only ever go there to go to Tuk Com, and likely at 11.00 am. Horrible traffic, nowhere to park, scruffy, and an area that definitely leans to one side. Coming back to your motorcycle and finding puffs sitting on your seat preening themselves in your mirrors doesn't endear me any more. Good report.- 29 replies

The mark of a great actor, able to play the part. His fridge in the trailer was stocked with beer!

I doubt you would have been inclined to tell him so!

Yes one of the great all time characters. I still remember him turning up for a Parky interview 'as a newt'.

Yes TVs,DVDs and Aircons are the only items I am likely to need, but they of course do computers and a big one is mobile phones. There are cameras, fridges, washing machines, ovens, vacuum cleaners, printers. Worked out pretty well for you with a repair on a computer bought outside LOS, but a friend of mine has had a lot of problems with his laptop but keeps taking it back to somewhere in Tukcom.

I had reason to use that place recently (I fucked up my remote).... although you have to sit and wait for ages to be served, the service was polite and they have at least one girl who speaks good English. Are they only good for IT items and parts?

Yes I remember Jeddah gin, made with 5's. 5 tins of grapefruit juice, 5 bags of sugar, and brewed for 5 days!Sidiqui and tonic was better drink!

It is an important factor which should be considered when buying. I have known friends be without their laptop for months as it was 'repaired under warranty' by IT City. Returning things to Big C means you introduce an intermediary, surely they don't fix them themselves. I had a reasonable result with my LG.... bad that it failed soon after purchase from then Carrefour, but I took it to LG on Sukhumvit and had it back fixed for free, in a week. Easier than looking like a twit carrying a 40" TV up the mall escalator! As said, Numchai does have it's own repair shop. Most shops will not replace an item, just arrange repair, leaving you a blank wall to watch. On that note my Numchai bought Samsung has been problem free for 3 years now.(But dam I wish I had bought it later, they are 1/3 the price now!)

I wouldn't drink wine though, purely for homosexuals. When a man comes home hot and thirsty from work, a cold brew will do......

I add a squeeze of lime to my San Mig, does that make me a beer philistine? I hate it when a pip falls in.

No AC?

I shall be round there tonight as a friend will arriving in town and staying there. The earlier pics look like the older part, formerly The Residence Suites before it all came under the single name of Residence Garden (or is it the other way round?). Anyhow the block nearer to Jomtiem with bigger places. They appear to have been renovated since I last used one and look very good. It will be a little nostalgic for me to visit there as it was always my place of choice for my 1 month R&Rs from working in shit-holes, and I was always quite happy there.
