  4. Hell no, I like cool overcast weather with some rain.Cheaper electric and water bills... Although it makes the grass grow a bit fast, mowing that shit is when I get my tan.
  5. Just the usual morning frustrations of internet hang-ups.Although you seem to have little to do 'over there' at 2am. Other than make snide comments that is. Got any regarding Liz Taylor and her addictions?

  7. You are quite right, I have not read his book (did HE actually write it), and may have his reaction completely wrong. But to say I am ignorant of his habits is also erroneous. Perhaps you and him can crack a joke or two over his habit and his incomplete bag of plums. Mr Downey, while being at least as infamous, was hardly flattered by Mr Gervais. Sometimes people don't like to be reminded of their failings, and to talk ill of him might be considered snide. I respect Jimmy's skill, his waste of it I would not insult him with, I am sure he knows.
  8. Pretty tacky, I hope you will be there to ask him yourself.
  9. I hope they manage to stay up in the sky unlike a more modern USA aircraft currently in Libya.
  10. I have a soft spot for this guy who I recall from the TV comedy in the UK called 'Please Sir'....Often played a bumbling policeman..... Deryk Guyler
  11. It would be cheaper to buy a new car than to get a new MP 3 player......

  14. Yes, my experience of seeing Somchai cleaning his patch did actually involve him removing the rubbish... and throwing it back into the sea further along. Is the rubbish some clever scheme to prevent the erosion of the sand?
  15. From the rank outside the airport, I last paid 1500 baht. I think that included tolls and the 50 baht rank surcharge. It is a bit of a gamble as one week, the girl on the desk may offer the 'fixed price'... another day they try it on. Generally the meter is turned off. My information may be dated as the last 3 or 4 trips I have booked Toom for 1200 baht.
  16. I have also heard of issues like this with unofficial copies of Windows...
  17. Do you read books at home?

  19. Shit, I saw exactly the same thing on Koh Larn, poor mut must have been hit by a vehicle and he kept falling in the rain channel at the side of the road. That was 10 years ago, so the poor mut has made it a long way now, wonder where he is heading.
  20. I don't know Angsila, where about is that then?
  21. The recently departed....Norman Wisdom.
  22. That might maim a few copulating Russian couples.
  23. I know you are a Chonburi man, but it soulds like you know a few places...... Sattahip, too far for me, Bang Saen, correct side of Pattaya but still a bit far... have they finished those damned roadworks between Banglamung and Laem Chabang yet? Know anywhere good between Banglamung and Sri Racha? There are a few coming out of Pattaya on Rt3, beach side before 36 junction. I use one right on Sukhumvit which does a Tom Yam Khung to die for. Plently of places down on the beach there but a bit hit and miss on quality... yet are influenced by Pattaya prices. Just might be good to try going North... (my last attempt found a little place in Laem Chabang but pretty mediocre). Always looking for dining alternatives that avoid driving in Pattaya....
  24. No the thread started about Mt T..... then Thailearner asked And pondlife went on to reply Then Thailearner I have used Toom many times, and I actually thought he was based in Pattaya, perhaps wrong. But for sure, some of the his taxis that arrived were... one was from around the corner of my old place on Soi Siam CC. So I don't understand why a trip to Utapao from Pattaya should not be offered to him. Anyhow, the thread is about Mr T.... MM dislikes confusion.
