  1. Tempting to offer to buy the cameras, they may have some antique value now.
  2. No, I don't think I will do that. The film was a Bond movie, perhaps Diamonds are Forever. , just maybe Goldfinger though.
  3. Somewhere around here.... I lived at the Inside Garden for a while and it isn't a bad place to get around from. My TGF used to jog back from the Aerobics at the beach end of soi 6.
  4. Isn't that right where Qatar and Ethiad are timewise? I am all for increased options but Manchester Term 2 is beginning to be as bad as Heathrow for queues.
  5. I have heard this name many many times.... reasonable?
  6. Thanks, I shall be taking a look. Quite, but most of them are seeking the tourist requiring expensive cosmetic dentistry, and are fresh out of college. I am looking for a 'regular' dentist who has a decade's experince and won't mind working in my mouth for a few hundred baht without trying to sell me veneers, laser whitening or other stuff.
  7. I have 15..... As MM said, the forum software seems to keep me synched up.
  8. It sprang to mind... they way they park their vehicles absolutely anywhere that is completely in the way. They will park behind your bike, blocking you in. Any workmen that come to my house will park infront of the neighbour's gate, and visa-versa. And there is loads of space to go, out of the way. Beware you twats who park your bike behind my bike with your steering lock on..... I carry a padlock to exact revenge when I do get free.
  9. David Strathairn
  10. Are you kidding.... I have no idea what they put in those?
  11. Hey man, you're slacking, you should have picked up on his usage of 'to' rather than the correct 'too'.....
  12. I don't believe so MM. Obviously my login details are not on another computer.... but which posts I have read seems to carry over. I actually thought YOU posted such a fact here some years ago. I just did a quick test by logging off and going back to the FLB board on the TGF's computer, and there I picked up where I left off. I even read a new post on her PC, then returned to mine, and your board had recorded that I had read that post! Clever stuff.
  13. Russel Brand
  14. I ate at a small restaurant next to a 7-11 the other day, and asked the waitress does that ding-dong not drive you crazy? She looked at me as if to say whatya on about..... I suppose we farangs are just too easily annoyed and if my neighbours dogs bark one more time I'm going to poison the fucking mutts.
  15. Yeah I got done in Bali, same same changing £200 and getting a doorstep. (They have bigger notes now)...Strangely the guy who did it came back, I had staked him out, and I went in to talk to him with his motorcycle key in my pocket.
  16. Don't go there, that site tries to put a trojan on your PC!!!
  17. As does the Nova Park and many other serviced apartments... although I think the OP is looking for cheaper and Soi Bhua Khao area. The Opey De Place the OP is interested in has rather mixed reviews out there. Some quite negative.
  18. Perhaps that was a Mars bar?
  19. I needed 24 hrs.... Jonah Hill
  20. Actually he tips if they do the tyres and windscreens, not otherwise, exactly as you do. So you must be right there. MM you use a debit card to put 90 baht of Gasohol 91 in the bike or do you use a car these days? In the UK I gotta pump my own gas, there is no chance in hell anyone will put air in my tyres, likely I will have to PAY to use a machine and stand in the rain and do it myself. I have to stand in line to pay some surly sloth behind bullet proof glass a weeks wages for my 40 litres and get an ugly look and sometimes a rejection for a £50 note, that actually is what the overpriced stuff cost and then some. To have a young Thai kid smile at me for 10 baht is refreshing....
  21. You got the solutions above... my TGF came back from her village raving about the ADSL speed her friend had out in the boonies, obviously a telephone line required. You may have to put up with the 'dongles'....yes the speed on 'Edge' or whatever you get is slow, but sometimes out in the villages, where usage is less, it can surprise you. I was swinging in a hammock quite content with the sluggish speed... as you turn native the internet may become less important to you. Plus, you can take this with you wherever you go. When you get there, check around if a neaby neighbour has internet, a trip to Pattaya and return with a wireless modem/router for 2k and gift it to them along with a few beers every week for your access. 3G may well arrive soon, perhaps on a truck right now waiting for Thrappaya and Jomtiem 2nd Rd to be completed!
  22. I didn't know Wendys was here! I don't think much of Pizza hut, but a Mc breakfast ain't too bad, never up and about on time though. The KFC 99 baht chcken sandwich tides me over until tea time often.
  23. The OP is about food stands....... You got sick from farang food, was it from a food stand? You remind me of the idiot in the car who said 'I got a brother' which movie was that?
  24. I am intrigued to know where this delicious delicacy hails from, I come from black pudding and chip shop country and have never come across this.
