  2. You can go a few days early...... I wouldn't recommend the 3rd!
  3. Yes, I would have expected him to come out of the bathroom to swinging doors.I thought security tapes lasted longer (a week or more), and it would have been a clincher to confirm nobody else in the room...... do you have a balcony? There was an incidence of some guys breaking into rooms and then being able to force open safes some months back. But based on what you write the girl is suspect #1.... perhaps disturbed by you coming out of the shower and had to await another opportunity.

  10. I wish, not quite, as it is often in the middle of typing a chatty message that my back starts to ache and I unplug the laptop to move!
  11. Jeez, do I? You sort of have to figure out what sequence of events causes the problem and basically stop doing that!In my case it seems to be a mix of plugging/ unplugging USB mouse and ethernet, then the power..... generally I want to move the laptop. By the time I reach my desired move I have the blue screen of death! They claim it is caused by insufficient memory (too many programs running concurrently) or a driver problem. My computer always restarts normally after I shut it down, with the usual 'Windows recovered from a fatal error' message. You seem to have had few problems and I wouldn't recommend wasting time and effort pursuing this unless the incidence increases. The Google suggested fixes are way too involved and serious for me, or just want to sell me something.
  12. Wasn't he....The Exorcist
  13. Good, increases my options.
  14. Dongles aren't the thing yet, particularly the 3G type you get in the UK. A company called Hutch does supply them. You can connect to the mobile network / internet by plugging your phone into a computer's USB and have EDGE or GPRS. Pretty slow. I read somewhere 3G may start rolling out next year. Is there a phone line nearby where you are moving to? Who is the supplier (TOT, TT&T or CAT)..... I am miserable with TOT supplying my internet but nobody else covers here, someone living nearby is quite happy with them, but they live in a village and carry more clout perhaps, they piss me around when I complain and their service people are lazy and poorly trained. If you do not have a phone line you can get one wired if you pay, you have to find out if your area is serviced by each supplier. Choose well as it is painstaking to change.

  17. I treated myself for Christmas and went to Luna myself this afternoon. I had typed a report but wanted to move my ass to the sofa, unplugged the laptop power and ethernet and kaboom, blue screen of death. Overall a positive experience, but on the expensive side. I hope to type it out again later but it is beer o'clock. For discretions sake, I posted it here.....

  19. I have a small apology for Mr Frost, there are indeed quite a few MPs asking 300 baht/hr for an oily now. But surely that is a high season variant and more on the front-line tourist spots. I noticed a lot on Soi Post Office at that price as I passed very recently.... But go many miles further afield, all the way to Soi Yamoto (next street) and the price seems to be 199 baht! As an Expat (cheapskate) I would frequent the cheaper places, I have often felt it is more the particular girl than the place for a good massage and fun..... you can improve on the privacy at Luna and maybe at Dream Teen for a few baht more. I do recall one of my favourite places normally bumps the price to 250 baht during peak season.... but I get the 'schhh, nod nod, only 200 for you, not speak another!'

  23. I seemed to end up with effin' dog shit on me a lot as a kid....Or even as an adult, working under the car in the back street was treacherous.
  24. Perhaps it would prevent dengue infected people spreading the ailment at their destination.I would much rather the little blighters were dead before I nodded off after my last drambui.
