There are, of course, duck eggs about too!!!!

    Boiled eggs

Yes Joe, they look like regular brown eggs. No white hens, no white eggs!

Err, these are not fresh eggs, didn't you notice the orange colour? ( Sure about orange, white or pink is more common?)Sounds like salted eggs or 1000 year old eggs. Regular eggs look just like regular eggs in LOS!
  4. How many ACs, at what temperature? My AC in the bedroom runs about 10 hours/day every day and I would say it added 1200 baht to the bills. MM posted he uses AC a lot and pays 4000 pm total.
  5. I guess we are talking renting? On the darkside (East of Sukhumvit) you can expect to pay about 15k to rent a 2 bed seperate house. A town house may get you down to 10k. Electricity about 1-2 k/ month depending on AC use, water negligible if no garden to water. Expect to put up 2 months deposit and possibly a security deposit too.... beware, because as you say, getting deposits back when held by owner can be nigh impossible. I am out 35k still.... I know a place......
  6. Don't....I know this is not what you asked, but it is the thought that comes to mind.
  7. Here is the webpage....
  8. Yes, looking forward to the presentation at the Expats Club already......
  9. Stuffing included?
  10. When I flew Qatar out I think I got access to the Thai Airways lounge... plenty of fluids there!
  11. Me too, the 65/baht days of last year look like a dream gone by for the rest of this decade.
  12. So it is better now then, glad you eventually agreed to that.
  13. Now you know I never drink draft.......Nice toilets aren't they.... good view!
  14. If you don't type what you mean, how do you expect me to know what you mean?My suitcase was X-rayed before check-in.
  15. Did I see you in 'Iron' last night, or perhaps someone has a similar taste in shirts?
  16. Might want to see if they have a sample of those crowns. You know how Thai people like to show off, you could end up with a daft looking all gold tooth in the front of your mouth and attract muggers!
  17. Yeuch.........

    Thai House

They don't seem to be laughing at me so much when they are sleeping in the AC in my guest bedrooms!!!! ...
  19. Yes...of course....correction made.....I have been getting this wrong for years, including thinking Bangkok is South too.
  20. I don't think many BM guys living in a hotel room will be grilling kippers, a can of tuna might get opened. (Of course guests from China or India might do that.) I often stayed at the RG and like you, beyond instant coffee or a cuppa tea the kitchen facilities went unused.
  21. If it is also undisturbed by cabin announcements I think that would be great!
  22. You contradict yourself above, either you have, or you have not gone through multiple checks. The checks at Bangkok were located at the wing entrances on the main level, never at the gates themselves, with I guess the exception of United (apparently..I have never used them ex-BKK) who implemented an extra one. Do you by any chance have Alzheimers?
  23. I watched 3 Premiership games last night here in Pattaya, and now here comes Liverpool v MU...... All in the comfort of my own home, and the luvly TG to bring suitably chilled SMLs Sophon cable I love ya! (At 350 baht pcm)
  24. Yes, something further up the thread. They are discussing opening a hotel not a 7-11 you prick!
  25. What else did you mean to type? No thanks, I like Fast Track. And I am in no doubt that I got through faster than I would at the other check points. That was the problem you see, no queue at immigration unlike slow-track, and me hardly dressed yet and not wanting to keep the guy waiting! And let me explain, you are in a smaller area, between security and immigration. On the slow track, you have plenty time to put your passport away as you queue, for security. And when clear of security you have plenty of space in the main body of the airport to arrange yourself. It is different you see, is it clearer now? Perhaps that is a design flaw in Fast Track? But still much much faster, I could see the low season queues at immigration (they needed to staff some of those empty kiosks)... In Fast track security do not ask for the passport, immigration do that. So unlike you I do not keep my passport in my hand, they didn't used to like that at security, objects in your hand. Strange you finding removing belts, shoes, etc as no problem. I had to do it at a UK provincial airport and felt it most inconvenient, not a problem though, I can still tie laces. You are truly fortunate to travel with United, with convenient departure times and few other passengers around. Prior to the changes I am sure I went through multiple security checks, there were those at the entrance to each gate wing... don't you remember them? They have gone now..... for me. So far, outside of high season, many have commented that security is easier now. But it seems likely, that fewer checks means fewer delays. I know for sure at LHR, that more checks meant increased delays. What does confussed mean, is it like concussed?
