  1. No, it's still there. That is the reason for the '2'
  2. But you can pick up a new, pretty well kitted out truck (Vigos, Ranger, Triton, Colorado) for well under a million. A years full insurance included. An Optra 1.6 AT Sport...820,000 ($US24,000) The Honda example above, well Honda seem expensive. Try Chevrolet....
  3. Which departure airport?
  4. Camera angle?
  5. I did find it a bit boring too......As to humiliating, well, like chasing ping-pong balls, their choice.
  6. It's not worth the aggravation and cost mate. Many suitable cars on sale here to replace your current motor.
  7. Aha, well spotted, although wouldn't AF go to Paris? Methinks China Airlines!OP..you would of course be a lower priority for KLM as you arrived with someone else, but I just think they have cancelled the early Humberside hop if there are few bookings. Your original booking has a layover of 4 hours, which I feel is too long anyhow. Pity really, you are just across the water to home and have to sit around so long. I see there are only the 3 daily KLM flights from Amsterdam to Humberside, and little else to choose from! Train services from Manchester are easy as there is a station at the airport. Good of you to forewarn the UK BMs.
  8. Yeah I saw that last week... pretty good film, but I like the gangster and uncompromising tough man stuff!A bit fanciful having him wander around the policestation... But at least they shied away from having a woman with attitude save his life, a regular film obligation to the feminazi brigade.
  9. Get an extra sausage do ya?(gay as fuck.... )
  10. KLM have done this to me a few times, cancelling the early good connection to Manchester and having me sit around at Sciphol for quite a few hours. You aren't a person to an airline, you are like a suitcase with legs. Fortunately Manchester is reasonably well served, but I can see it is a real inconvenience in your case. As your delay is so long I would ask for food vouchers etc...... Consider going to Manchester and getting on the train from there. Even Leeds or Newcastle.....
  11. Was it meal time?Everything stops for break or food in LOS. Money changers will wave you away from the glass. I was in the Bangkok Bank recently and was having a TT3 prepared, by a very cute and, up to that point, quite attentive young woman. Then she tossed my passbook and passport on a desk and walked off. She hadn't returned after a few minutes so I walked to the front of the bank and found her getting together with a few friends to go for a break. (She said 'break now' as if that justified everything. ) My job abandoned and me left sitting, passbook and passport lying around left there... she hadn't spoken to the supervisor lady or man. I went and picked them up and asked him to complete my stuff (which I had already paid for). I am not Thai, I am of no consequence!
  12. Automatically transferred.
  13. Soi 3 is the discreet entrance for those with STDs.
  14. Jeez mate, it's just a phone......First I was wondering why only samsung and nokia? Nokia very common in LOS, but I went with Sony Ericsson..... fantastic battery life and it seems to find a signal where my old samsung didn't. They have a good website for selecting a model This IPhone and Nokia N95 is really over the top. PS Don't take the TG with you! You'll end up with a pink one that makes puppy sounds.
  15. You beat me to it.Turn right just before Bangkok Bank on 2nd Rd.
  16. A few European carriers fly on from Bangkok to Vietnam. Air France for Hanoi and Saigon 3500 baht+ Bangkok Airways(SGN)..6300+ Lufthansa (SGN) 5500+ Thai....(HAN and SGN) 2800 baht+... that's over, now 5500 And of course Vietnam Airways..3900 and 4900. Massic Travel, check out advert in Pattaya Mail Then there is always Air Asia.
  17. Yes, watch this one, you never know when you might bump into one in a Pattaya bar?
  18. You buy a prepaid SIM card for a few hundred baht or less (including some credit). You buy a cheap mobile to go with it for between 1000-2000 baht, for a new one. You can even buy second hand ones for less at Tuk-Com. Phones in Thailand are not normally locked to a Network so put the two together and off you go.
  19. My passport was always held by the company when I worked in Saud Arabia. As I travelled within the Kingdom without a permanent base it seemed convenient. I did meet and talk to some guys (Bangladeshies) who were treated quite badly. No salary for months and unable to do anything. They were scared to report what happened to them, but there were plenty of laws in place to protect them.
  20. Pity that, you have just chopped out 3 pretty good airlines with that approach. And a couple of crap but cheap ones. The Indians/Pakistanis I worked with in Abu Dhabi were all quite pleased to be working there! But that was a UK company, I will admit that some of the other outfits treated their guys badly.
  21. Let's get pedantic and involve semantics.....It says all you can eat, for 99 baht. That which you have to drink is extra.... Aren't you a lawyer???
  22. There aren't many places give you a free glass of water in Pattaya Joe.And some want 120 baht for a little bottle of beer, a price that should include dancing girls!
  23. It's a little more worrying that there might be an exceptional bump for an aircraft first.
