  1. Cost of passport set to increase Holidaymakers face inflation-busting increases in passport fees. The cost of an adult passport will rise £5.50, or 7%, to £77.50, the Home Office said. Fewer people are going abroad as families tighten their belts in the recession, meaning applications for passports were 400,000 below the expected level. The rises, which will come in to force in September, will see the price of a child passport increase £3 to £49. Fast-track adult applications, which take a week, will cost 15% more, up £15.50 to £112.50. Prices have shot up in the last decade
  2. Ryanair considers stools on flights Budget airline Ryanair has come up with a possible new cost-cutting measure in the form of stools rather than seats on flights. The Irish no-frills carrier is looking at the possibility of increasing capacity on flights by getting some passengers to squat on stools. These passengers would pay less than those in "normal" seats or possibly fly for free. Ryanair spokesman Stephen McNamara said that the airline's chief executive Michael O'Leary had already been in touch with aircraft manufacturer Boeing to see if such a scheme was feasible. M

  7. Some years again was booked with Areoflot Russian Airlines at £350, but a week or so later Thai Airways had promotion on for Heathrow to Bangkok for just £370 non-stop. So also booked with Thai Airways and as there was a non-refund on my Areoflot flight i lost my money on that flight and flew non-stop with Thai, good price though and better. My lowest flight price is likely to be my next flight flying with Etihad Airways where i can use my Nectar Points with Ebookers, and for 26,000 points i just have to pay the Tax of £206
  8. This deal is still available for September/October have got quote from Netflights for 1st Sept til 30th Sept the price just £339 and with only short-stopovers of up to 2 Hours at Abu Dhabi what a cracking price keep it up Etihad your leading the way again and nice to see that. Although i may use my Nectar points of 26,000 towards the fare and just pay the Tax of £206, not sure yet but what an excellent price in the first place.

  13. Hi my Friend. Firstly don't know what airport or dates you are using but can't be London with them prices. Have some Example fares from London Heathrow using the following dates. Dep 8th November returning 29th November. Jet Airways £493, Gulf Air £541, Kuwait Air £556, Etihad £562 and Thai Air 629. Sounds like you are using Manchester Airport.
  14. Was in Pattaya for whole of March, and June which is my favourite month, and in 2 weeks time August and September being my 2nd favourite month, then 23rd November until 17th January. Plenty to go round at all times and plenty going on all day no need to worry.
  15. Only stayed there once in 1989 when it was called Nipa Lodge It must be bit out dated now, cannot remember any renovations being done over the past years either although maybe i wrong. It is a good location with everything not to far away. And of course there is no joiner fees.
  16. Hi Scotch. Thanks again for this Web Site today booked flight for next year. Dep 5th May and return 4th June with Eva Airways non-stop And "WOW" the price just £456 "WOW" delighted.
  17. Hi Scotch, Yes, you have done well to get that price and anyone else that followed you. Looks like you got that price without the Eva Airways new fuel surcharge added. Just hope they don't realise this and ask you to pay more.
  18. Hi Guys. Don't think we will see these kind of fares for a long time, because of today 19th July Eva Airways have increased there fuel surcharges by between £40 and £50 on the London to Bangkok route, now taking the final total of tax charges to over £200 although that is still way short of what Thai Airways take. So all you lucky people that booked yesterday well done to you.
  19. Hi The £476 fare is a special offer when two people book together they get the reduced fare. The next fare was priced at £487 and was available for one person in October but when i reached check-out the fare had risen to £534 I had reported somewhere that Eva Airways were about to add £100 fuel surcharges to there fares. As stated in quote above seats disappearing very fast (BOOK NOW)
  20. Hi Guys. Sorry guys the offers seem to have disappeared from Manchester Airport but continue for Heathrow Airport. Dep 6th September and return 4th October at £465.14 Same dates from Manchester at £549.
  21. Hi my Friends. Here is latest flight schedule from Manchester to Bangkok with Etihad Airways. 22. Also been looking at flights in August and with Westeast Travel they have Thai Airways at £615.00 which is made up with the fare at just £305, but the TAX is a massive £310. Amazing TAX price and just a sign of the difficult times we are in now.
  23. Hi Big Brian. Yes, you all know but my girl friend and other friends don't. Just hope i don't get a surprise when i arrive in the early morning.
  24. Wise decision to book now, the days of waiting for something cheaper are over, Yes, there will be cheaper fares and promotions but can anyone be prepared to wait for them and be disappointed if they don't show up. Booked my flight for end of November through to 17th January in April for £496 Now the same flight is over £600 already and it's only July. So if you find a flight you like don't wait get it BOOKED now to avoid the disappointment.
  25. Glad you fixed up i prefer Etihad because they use newer aircraft and i am thinking about a surprize visit back to Pattaya in September if i have the funding. Currently though i am using Gulf Air because they were the cheapest for me at the time of booking, my June flight was only £424 with them, and my Christmas flight though early from 22nd November to January 17th is only £496. Etihad is well over £720 for this flight and rising.
