Sabai lodge is a fine hotel but not exactly close to bars, it is ideal if you dont want to be hassled walking back down soi 8 to Flipper lodge. Sabai lodge is usually slightly more expensive than Flipper lodge.

Flipper lodge would be best for your first trip as you will be based on soi 8 and close to the bus route, you should be able to get flipper lodge for about 1000 baht per night.

I am sure in a month's time that there will be plenty of good hotel rooms available for 1000 or less. I am hoping that there are some real experts on the board (not "experts" like Otherway) My computer is driving me around the bend, I have a Toshiba satellite laptop with an intel duo core processor working on Vista home premium. I simply can't open anything that requires a Flash player like Youtube on Firefox 3, it keeps telling me to install flash player; when I try to install the latest version of Adobe Flash player it tells me that I cant install it until I get rid of Firefox 3 . To compound matters I cant open Internet explorer anytime that I have Skype installed because it freezes the page and then closes down the programme . I know I am not the only person in the world to encounter these problems and from researching people are saying that Adobe does not like the Firefox people and Skype and Internet explorer are not the best of buddies. So can anyone give me very simple step by step solutions to these problems(it needs to be simple for me as I am not a techie) Thank you in advance

I stayed there in march/april and the rooms are nice. I paid 1000 baht a night The place is great for a good night's sleep and the rooms are large and clean, it is much better than the overhyped overpriced noisy dumps that get continuous advertising here. The pool is fantastic and the staff were very nice. It is a bit out of the way if your mobility is not so good but a baht bus passes the front entrance heading towards walking street, getting back will mean getting a motorbike taxi bed and balcony just beautiful

If this is the Insomnia club across from the windmill/Diamond hotel then I cant believe that it has gone downhill so much. I was there in april and there were loads of pretty young girls there. I barfined 2 of them for a threesome @1000 baht each and had a great time, I always found the girls attentive there on subsequent visits. In my experience the girls in windmill are very attentive but not that pretty compared to the insomnia girls
