I posted this for other reasons on a politics forum but it is great on its own: 1933. Still relevant almost 90 years later.

Band names are often odd and this one might deserve to go into the Hall of Fame for band names.

Living in California I am sort of used to that type of message. Although I was not offended by anything I saw, it would be nice to have one day off a year from politics.

Sounds like something that should be on Infowars. A lot of the kumbaya commercials would have made George Soros happy.

wt heck was that?

I am not a Lady Gaga fan but acknowledge she has great talent. Her first song during the Super Bowl halftime show reminded me of the Eurythmics. Indeed, I thought some of her other music was reminiscent of the 1980's techno genre.

Peaky Blinders is an excellent show as well. Who isn't ruthless in these writer's shows?

As I was typing on another topic, NE did as I predicted. Falcons lost it. Matty Ice my ass.

The biggest choke in Super Bowl history. Ryan can't take that sack. Then the penalty knocks them out of FG range. WTF? Now NE has the ball and should march right down the field for a winning TD in OT.

Then there is no such thing as sport as even our colleges and University use sports to generate revenue. The Olympics are no longer amateur. I guess Little League baseball is still a sport by your definition.

It isn't just actors who can keep tears on standby - just look at Chuck Schumer. I agree with you. I love to watch the best who perform in anything. There are also no editors in sports except for the sports pages. Hollywood is the most self congratulatory group in existence. I was watching the FX show Taboo and I did not realize that actresses in early 19th century doubled as prostitutes. Streep should be grateful that she lives in an era of mega salaries. I doubt she would have made much with that second career option.

I am still stuck in the 80's and the Niners.

The Patriots had Deflategate and before that were busted for spying on the NY Jets. A culture of cheating and denial when caught. Go Falcons - who have a culture of subscribing pain killers to mask injuries. That was revealed in yesterday's sport's section here. Oh well! I will root for the NFC 9 out of 10 times anyway.

Unfortunately the Olympic Games has always been political.

Piers Morgan came out with the "no surprise the American's first medal was in shooting" crack immediately following the event. Of course. That is what he does with anything related to guns. It dawned on me after he said it that archery is a sport derived from a weapon designed to kill animals and people. Where is the angst over the bow and arrow? Bows are still used for hunting and could be used to kill people. Piers Morgan wants to be in American but hates our system. I guess he just likes to get paid well for having a big mouth. While we are at it ban the javelin. Did I miss any?

This is the same league so if you were in it last year you should be in it again or can renew this and other leagues you were in on the league page once your team is picked.

I give Jose one drama free season at ManU.

Well thanks for another nice comment. My mom was German and sometimes I root for them but for me it is always US, England, Canada and Germany but I love the Irish and Australians and others. Back in the Cold War I rooted for Katarina Witt but I'm only human. Steffie Graf? That was tough for my monger side. But of course home side rooting is to be expected. As long as nobody loses an eye it is all just fun and games. The other day a Dutch lady crashed on her bike and cracked three vertebrae. Nationality was not a consideration when I saw that during the broadcast.

Thanks for the bump. I noticed that as well. But please, if you are for the Americans you must favor them and not favour them.
