Agreed the X zone is alive and well based on our visit to the bar this past week. My friend spend a little time with a comely lady grinding on his lap after buying her an LD. He checked with her about the barfine and her availability. All was good for him. Then he paid a visit to the toilet as the lady got up for her rotation on the stage platform When he came back I told him I had good news for him. I said his lady was definitely not frigid. I answered his quizzical look by pointing to the stage where his lady was having a fist inserted in her snatch with an interested audience looking on. My buddy got up without saying a word and joined in with the festivities. While i wouldn't say the line up was head turning there were several nice looking ladies in attendance. I think the bar is certainly worth a look see. The signs held by the door personnel said the bar opens at 8:30 but then they added it really opens for business at 9:00. I'd ask the manager to clarify the HH policy by simply saying HH is 241 for the draft beer. Saying only HH 241 without clarification is unclear to me as I'd figure that would include more than only draft beer. It's be a simple signage fix at the door and inside the bar that'd help prevent confusion. The X zone got an A in my book for providing good entertainment along with value.

The Areca staff started to give me grief about a 19 year old one night but with a little discussion and no passing of baht, they chose to let it go.

Three's my limit. 555 “Stayed here many times” Reviewed August 29, 2010 2 people found this review helpful I have stayed in the Opey many times. I was a little disappointed this trip due to the menace of many cockroaches. One evening we opened the door to see 5 or 6 scurry off. They sprayed the room but that has no effect on new arrivals. I have to also point out, that the toilet floor tiles are purely... More Was this review helpful? Yes Problem with this review? Heehawser has 1 more review of Opey de Place Hotel

Has anyone stopped to think this whole thread is about a major wind up by the OP? -
How about a little Rod Stewart with Amy Belle? Pretty cool I think. The transitions as well as the chemistry between them make this a winner in my book. I never knew I liked the sax as much as I do until I head this song. http://youtu.be/2WmPCAMa8Mg

It's always changing it seems. I was also asked to bring two copies of my departure card on the next reporting.

I agree wholeheartedly. I always enjoy seeing things besides mongering areas in every country I visit. -
I guess the darn phone isn't meant to be dropped multiple times or maybe it's because of the bit of moisture I've seen under the screen in the past. how people handle LOS storms and keep phones undamaged is beyond me. Whatever it is, I think my old 3gs (3.1 version) is the cause of all the static during conversations. The area around the charging connection is destroyed from all the drops. I'd like to get it repaired. It's unlocked and jailbroken. An Apple authorized place won't or I should say isn't allowed to repair it. I had a speaker problem a few months ago and the speaker was replaced but then the static issue seemed to spring up. It could be something as simple as a wire crimped when the case was closed. I don't know if it's cause and effect or not. I had the speaker work done in Tuccom by The Phone Company on the first floor where the escalators take you. The speaker was replaced for Bt. 800. The same company located on the third floor of Fiesta Mall wanted bt.1800 for the same speaker replacement. Both times the TG took the phone in alone to get the price estimate. Can anyone recommend a place for iPhone repair in Pattaya?

A baht bus may look for a premium fare when he sees a punter with luggage. Just getting across Sukhumvit at that time of night with luggage in hand makes me vote for the bell Bus first and a taxi if the Bell doesn't work out.

I like the appearance of this place for some reason. Do you happen to have any idea just where it's located? -

Publishing Emails and PMs received. Is it always wrong?

interesting point Bazle. I'd ask if copyright laws are universal and if not, wouldn't the application of the article be country specific? Although I can't state as a fact, i believe if I bought at auction a letter written by George Washington , I could most likely publish the words in the letter. If the 70 year rule applies to PM's, MM better insure his board has some heirs in place. -
I recently saw two very fine apartments in that general area. As I rely on public transport and know it's pretty thin there, I gave the whole area a pass for the time being.

How do you bargain down hotel prices?
9cisco999 replied to Obsession's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
I don't know if it's still the case but a few years ago I tried using Priceline and lowballed a few times for a hotel room and the system locked up. A notice popped up on the screen telling me I could not use the bidding system for a certain period of time. I suspect this is in place to prevent finding the threshold price. Doesn't bullion need to be assayed as opposed to coins being accepted for their manufactured weight (value)? A friend recently raveled to Canada from the States by car. he was asked to go to the secondary inspection where they learned he had gold coins. Initially he was asked why he failed to declare them since they has value. He told them the car he was driving had value but he didn't declare it either. They let him go on his way after they determined the gold coins were considered bullion so he was not over the 10K limitation for declaration.

Store policies in Pattaya
9cisco999 replied to 9cisco999's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Tom: I returned to Tesco today and discovered I was mistaken about the price. The register was correct. I posted the question on the forum in hopes of real experiences before I asked the same question at Tesco. Today I asked the lady at Tesco customer service and her English was pretty much on par with my Thai. She did manage to convey that cash will be refunded during the first 7 days after a purchase. Impossible for me to ascertain if that is only for a defective product The translation was as usual hesitatingly given by my lady friend. The "customer service" lady answered another question by saying after the 7 day period, as stated in replies, Tesco would deal with a defective product for "one or two months" by sending it to the factory. I don't know if the one or two month time frame period is at the choice of Tesco or the customer. 555 "As an aside, is there any particular reason this thread is in this part of the forum." Tom, as Filipina friends sometimes say to me, SECRET. MM: I guess your last words pretty much sum it up as far as buying anything in LOS is concerned "Just hope you don't have to use the warranty repair service" I wanted to confirm that buying anything here involves trust and hope. It must be nice to have a staff to look around for a solution. That would aid in adjusting to the conditions. I suppose you have a fairly good idea how Costco would have handled your TV meltdown. I wonder how that company is able to have the kind of policy it has and be so successful? In your situation, I realize you could only grimace and bend over if the same thing had happened to all three of your TV's. I don't look for any changes in that area here but I wonder if eventually there will be a customer service/satisfaction change as time passes. Jacko: Good to hear a positive, successful story. By coincidence, I bought an LG microwave today at Tesco. It was a display model and the last one as the stock is depleted because of the floods. It didn't have a box and Tesco said they couldn't supply any kind of box for transporting it. There was a monsoon happening at that moment which could be heard on the Tesco roof. I was finally able to persuade the clerk to wrap the thing in plastic wrap to protect it. I wish that I have the luck of never needing it repaired while it's under my watch. I'd like to gift it to someone in proper working order if and when I move somewhere else.
