The driver if doesnt speak good english he has already been informed of my name and my hotel i dont have to go through the hassle of negotiating with a Taxi driver and for him to nod his head in agreement when in reality he hasnt understood a word i said. I have played Bangphra which is about 40 minutes drive , beatiful scenic course. Cost was 1100 green Fees, 500 Buggy ,220 Caddy and about 400 Hire Clubs not particualry cheap but an excellent course. My mate was speaking to other keen golfers and if you become a memeber of Pattaya Sports Club (300baht) you get big discounts on the Green Fee's.

Stayed here for 14 nights in Dec/jan last Year and I agree with everything Alexist said it is a great place and the only thing stopping it being my permanent hotel everytime I go back is that there is no pool. I think there is a 300 Joiner fee for the second girl.

Makes you feel like a Rock Star to walk off the plane and see a Limo driver waiting for you with your name on a card, then you get to pattaya and walk down the street and girls are calling out trying to drag you into the bar and are all over you. How Urgent are we talking? You shouldn't have a problem booking a hotel this time of year and for 1600baht a night you will get a very nice hotel. Go to the hotel review section and check out the hotels , the website and contact details are all there, then if you find a hotel you like, do a search on this forum and you will find everything you need. See I am the opposite, i think its good service. I never feel pressured or obligated to drink faster to order a drink I don't want. I feel its good service and ensures that my next beer is ready for me as I finish the previous. I hate being in a place with 10 girls 2 baff staff and a manager and not be able to get anyone to serve you becuase everyone is concentrating on some minor probelm. As far as drunks talking shit goes I have a very low tolerance, unless its me then its the height of good humor.

I have always wondered this as well and have asked the question but never had any replies as why its more to Pattaya than returning. In my experiences the retunring Taxi has been a better vehicle than the car I have been picked up in or the touts at the airports vehicle. I have used Mr Toom and have been happy with his service but Toom uses a number of drivers and others here have reported mixed reviews on his service. 3 times I have paid the Taxi to return from Pattaya to Airport twice they were 10-15 minutes earlier than appointent time and once they were 10 minutes late. I also used Toom in December, he was asking me what terminal gate i was coming through I didn't have a clue I just gave him my flight number and his man was there waiting for me. Good service, Good Car, driver and his wife both spoke good english and was a safe driver.

I got a tooth pulled and got a prescription from the dentist I went to pharamcist at Big C and he recomended stronger pain kiilers than prescribed. I always buy my viagra (clones) corner soi3 and 2nd road and I also got some antibiotics for a chest infection I caught at my last stay from a Pharmacists in Soi Bakhou. You shouldn't have any problems getting what you want , however you will need to check what the law is in your country becuase I think it is illegal to carry prescription medicine without a prescription through customs.
