In your experience what is the postal service operating like in UK? I'm guessing that you see a doctor, get a certificate, book a flight then post everything to a consulate authorised to issue a visa ...??? What chance is there of fitting everything into the required timeframe for those living too far to visit in person ( and stay overnight) ...??

I won't pretend to understand anything that you have said but all I can say is that I have noticed a steady improvement over the last couple of weeks .....My health insurance is due next month ...Should I transfer 1,000 quid now or hang on a few weeks ..??

I have to admit I have tried it a few times in Pattaya from seed and failed but your timing is right though...A good frost enhances the taste but isn't a requirement. But you get my point about allotments on unused plots of land near falang condos though ....(or even in the condo grounds) . What prompted me to try it was the price of parsnips in Villa Market a few years ago - Perhaps you would have to pay for security 24/7 to guard your crop if you were successful though !!!

Y'know I have often wondered why the Thai owners of small plots of land don't rent them out to Farang condo dwellers... To me it would be heaven to have a little place to sit outside, drink beer, talk shit and at the same time watching spuds and carrots grow..... or dare I say it parsnips ( more expensive by the mouthfull than soi 6 !)!!

Unfortunately there is a "heffer" joke in there somewhere but it would be more distasteful than the tattoos..

I have no recollection of any cling film put on my Tattoo ...but Darlo in the 70s is perhaps not the best comparison....However, I agree totally with the disgust of "ownership" of any human being by another... Today was my 3rd and final visit for root canal surgery treatment and, as promised, here is how much everything cost. 1. Initial consultation - as previously reported, 800 baht for consultation, x-ray and temporary filling 2 Root canal surgery - 10,000 Baht for 3 visits. - First visit to remove nerve - 2nd visit to remove temporary filling, clean and refill - 3rd visit to remove temporary filling clean and rebuild my tooth and fill permanently. My tooth had lost about a third of its outer "shell"and she took quite some time but it was definitely worth it. I can't afford a cap at the moment and am sure this solution will do me for a couple of years! As reported earlier, I am a coward but the treatment that I received in both medical terms and service was perfect!
