  3. Wow so much in there to comment on.. I was in Cochem in 1984 and Rudesheim ...bloody excellent guzzling whites in the region. For reds when I was in Munster I found a couple of Hungarian wines that I liked.. As for Gewurtzraminer, I discovered it in the local CO-OP in Dorset!! Was a lovely hot day and my Mum fancied sitting out on the lawn for a nice summer salad so off I popped into the co-op and it was the only wine left in the fridge at 7 quid a bottle. I only bought one but after I sipped it I drove back and emptied the fridge!! Here in Pattaya , Wine Connection in RGP has an exc
  4. Sustained heavy rain over on the Darkside now..
  5. Perhaps he couldn't differentiate between the two ....
  6. Wouldn't that be only one location though....???
  7. It was a spoof ..... HAHAHAHA!
  8. When I went to 7/11 this morning (sukumvit+damsamakee) they were taking a delivery of water......So if a business that "should" have a backup tank and on the main route has run out of water it doesn't bode well for those without a tank and living off the main supply route...... EDIT = I've just done a "tap tap test" on my 2,000 litre tank and it sounds full. I also keep 3 days worth in my tank in the bog ....Hopefully I'll be OK..!!
  9. There are some very dark clouds over Jacko's house at the moment with loud rumbling noises ....... Although it could be more to do with the alcohol ban than any imminent rain showers ....
  10. So expect the next Government order .....Stay at home, No alcohol and don't shower!!
  11. Again......Another West Ham analogy there.... And I guess the reservoir remains as empty as their trophy cabinet...with everybody involved having nothing but hope left that they will return to the past when they had at least something in them ......!!
  12. Apologies for my late reply too...Thanks! It takes just over an hour for me to walk there and I would've been very disapointed to get there and see that it was closed...to then turn around and walk an hour back! Please let me reinforce the fact that your efforts are not only enjoyable but have a practical benefit too!
  13. At the moment it sounds like West Ham thunder...Lots of noise but with fuck all to show for it ....
  14. Not sure mate ..... I haven't witnessed it myself just heard about it.....
  15. Thanks! Did you go up 13/2 and did you notice if the Post Office has altered its opening hours? I also heard that places like "Little Hole" was now selling food outside. The bar is closed but maybe the side door is open ...
  16. It is spooky for sure.. A month ago he was reporting that Covid was fake news and Media hype....On the latest one he TWICE had a temperature reading above normal, blames it on the machine or the user then goes out......to the only places that he has been reporting on for at least 2 months.... Totally irresponsible in my opinion.....
  17. It would be good if Evil could update the thread.. Is Gleeful still under the same ownership/management? In the last year os so it has been Norwegian, Israeli, Oz? and American (The worst sort - loud and obnoxious)
  18. I,however, am quite relieved ........
  19. I look forward to using up my hoarded stock of KY jelly in case we are the only ones still alive.... but bring your own wigs...
  20. Of course you are correct, but a simple crisis management binary algorithm put in place would mean customers understand their position....."All in the shit but only the depth varies" was a military expression back in the day...but in today's world, with today's technology, what is happening to customers is unforgiveable. It must have been great to be a Corporate Crisis Manager..raking in loads of dosh , setting up imaginary processes and procedures only to shit yer pants when something real happens..
  21. Absolutely shocking customer service! At the moment I can't spot a trend towards better service booking with agents or booking direct onto an airline's website.. Where are you now..????
  22. I understand and agree with your point but I think most airlines try to offer the same service during an Emergency as they would normally do on a day to day basis and it just doesn't work. My example of my son's Aeroflot flight during the "volcano crisis" is an example of good crisis magagement. Make a decision and keep it simple. Everybody in the queue had the same two choices and were told of the choices before they even got to the desk to give them time to mull things over.No fannying about. I really feel the pain of those on the desk or on the phones trying to deal with individual p
