Thanks mate! I walk along Arunothai ( when I 'm not stuck in my pit) about once a week and know what is happening outside Nirun. I normally walk up to soi 9 then shoot down to New Plaza etc.I have noticed a few places closing down - not least the thai food stall at the junction of Arunothai and Suk but was interested to know what is currently available inside the complex. Legends and Bo's - what time do they open and how much for a large beer chang and hongthong ( no ice no soda)..?

Thanks for posting. This is an honest question - not taking the piss - I am looking for a daytime bar to sit and drink by myself and be left alone. Nirun really isn't that far from where I live and I have walked around there a few times and there seemed to be a few bars in the condo complex with places to eat. Do you have any recommendations..????

I didn't think that it would make that much difference to the resevoir water levels but it may change the daily usage. Certainly where I live, captured rain water is used for showering rather than storing for watering the plants like you and I do...

It has been a very very long time since I flew TG but those were the dates I had planned for my trip back to see my new Grandaughter. There are 2 UK Bank Holiday dates in there somewhere I think...I was going either Emirates or Sri Lankan though..

I am very pleased to say that the storm trench that brings water across from Khao Talo didn't get a trickle. Fingers crossed that the work they have done at the bottom of the hill and near the railwaylines has worked! (For me anyway)

I used to thoroughly enjoy travelling between towns up North to visit various family factions. The skill required to throw a bucket of iced water at 90 degrees from the back of a pick up travelling over 100Kpm into the air to form a wall of water for an approaching pickup also travelling over 100Kpm at the right height to cause maximum pain, then duck down to avoid their attack would have made my physics teacher and the school of Infantry at Warminster very proud!!!!

Mine has already filled up!. I just went out into the road with a gurt big stick to loosen the build up of dirt and shit in the street drain and the pressure of the water did the rest..... Now it is a game of sit and wait to see whether I thank you or blame you......

We had a drizzle earlier on today near Big C Pattaya Tai... There are currently distant rumblings and dark clouds .......and a shower has started...In about an hour we will know if the new drainage system on Khao Talo is working as it normally takes that long for the floods to get into the slum area I live..

I don't really notice any haze in the Big C/Tesco/Pattaya Tai area and - like you - my lungs don't feel anything either...... I am normally out by 8am ...
