I would also be interested to know why. I got a second passport from Durban last year and had it sent back to the consulate in Accra and it cost close to 180 pounds.

How full do the Thai Airways flights get on the LHR-BKK route?
bigmick replied to Gus's topic in Airline Discussion
Thai airways flights will be busier over the Christmas period and New Year. I have flown with them out of LHR many times and i have found the lunch time flights always less busier than the night time. This flight usually gets into BKK early morning and i find myself in need of a good sleep by lunch time, but that sets me up for the night time. I have always found the night flights back to the UK on any airline always busier because people (I think) use this flight to try to get some sleep. Now if i go back, and it looks like i may be going via LHR to Africa next year every month - i will try t -

I have just returned to Pattaya from BKK this morning. I had to go to the Royal Thai police HQ to collect a police clearance letter and I left at 05:30 and im back in Pattaya by 09:30. I saw no protestors/police barricades etc. When inside, I asked the guy about it all and he said they don't expect any thing else to happen now Yingluck has called an election for February. We passed along Wireless Road and past the UK and USA embassy's. Very light traffic and no problems at all. When I went last week, there were a lot of police vans parked at Lumpini park, but nothing now. Traffic was light and -
6 Passengers per van, breakfast before you go and a small meal when you get back, usually back by 3pm. The best of them all.

I went into Bangkok today to the Royal Thai police HQ and saw some protesters outside, they were in a very festive mood, a lot of shouting but no aggression atall. The main entrance is blocked off big time and there are a few hundred police inside the walls with riot gear on waiting to see if anything happens. It does not look like it will from my time there today. Afterwards I went to the US embassy with a friend to re new his passport and it was business as usual. No protestors around and reasonable traffic. Saw a lot of police vans parked up along Lumpini Road. But again, no sign's of any t

I sold my 2 bed condo 84 sq mtr and I thought that was small. This is a lot of money for a tiny box. If you want a condo, look around, there are some good deals to be had in some very modern and attractive buildings right now.

When you arrive in LOS you will get a 30 day stamp, you can then do a border run and get another 30 days. Border runs cost around 2500 baht from places like the Queen Victoria in Soi 6. Look at the cost of the tourist visa versus a border run. It may be cheaper for your 56 day stay in LOS
