You need to walk a little further down the road mate. I live just around the corner and i know of all the restaurants along where you are talking about and they are shite. Keep walking to the Tesco Lotus and next door is a Thai restaurant called The Red Ant. Food is good and service is good also. It is popular with the Ruskies and they do play some Ruskie music, but i always sit inside and watch the TV while waiting for me food. Hope this helps

visa extension 30 days in jomtien what reason to put in form ?
bigmick replied to mataleo's topic in Expat Issues
Now that is fuckin funny +1 -
And for the above shown useless list of rates (post #3) i would want clean fresh towels every day - not every week. I would suggest you go and walk around the areas you are fond of the most and see whats about and go and ask about monthly rates etc. Plenty of nice looking places around Soi Lenkee/Diana that will do monthly rates

I would like to know if you have paid for this unit in full or just paid the deposit -
The food looks very good, i will call in next week and try for myself. I used to go very often to the Pig and Whistle, but sadly since the owner passed it has gone down hill quickly and the food is shite. This place looks like a good alternative

New U.S. Tax Law - does it affect people in Thailand?

How does one avoid this happening to them if they are an expat - working and living abroad. -
I have just had a conversation with the Thai Consulate in Hull here in the UK. I have applied for a Non O visa multi entry and it seems to have taken some time to come through. They had told me now for the Non Immigrant O visa, either single or multi entry, you have to show proof of why you wish to be in Thailand for a long period of time and that proof is then sent to the London Embassy for approval which can take an extra few days. This has changed slightly as i used to post the application off on a Monday and get the passport with visa back by Wednesday. They are now advising 5 working days. So if you are planning to apply for this type of visa, you should allow a few extra days for your application to be processed.

Residency certificat for driving licence on trist visa
bigmick replied to mataleo's topic in Expat Issues
You will need a cert from Immigration for each license, so for car and bike, you will need two. They will cost 200 baht each and take about 30 minutes to complete. If you have a 30 day on arrival stamp, you can still get the residency cert but they will state you only have a 30 day stamp and so you will only get a 1 year license. If you are going to re new your license for a 5 year license, you will need a visa of some type to get the 5 year license. If you only have a 30 day stamp and are looking to re new a 5 year license, you will only get a 1 year license. You will also need a medical cert (100 baht type) residence letter(s) passport pics Existing Thai license (if you have one) License from home country copy of passport plus entry card Two copies of everything Fill out form at immigration office Too easy so do it yourself Any one who pays an agent to do this needs your head looking at -
MK Restaurant, Central Festival (updated March 20, 2016)
bigmick replied to Evil Penevil's topic in Restaurants and food
You took a good looking lady for lunch and did a nice write up of the time in the restaurant, why should you care what anyone thinks about the cost of the lunch. I know i wouldn't. Good write up and thanks for the pictures.
