  1. Hey Dingo. That's a pretty confusing header to your post. Guitar picks "conjures up" plectrums and finger pickers to me for one ! So what is it you require picture prints/lithographs of guitars, Fender, Gibson, Rickenbacker etc etc from an outlet in Pattaya ?
  2. It's Chinese New Year celebrations commencing 3rd February, and of course Valentines Day on the 14th. These two were a real blast last year . February would be a good time to visit IMHO.
  3. Thanks. Will PM you.
  4. Thanks for that Barrief. Great video as always from you. I have long been a fan of "Rhythm Tracks" and have often requested this song when on my visits to LOS and FLB bar. Bohemian Rhapsody is probably one of the most difficult songs for a live band to replicate, and for the greater part they do a really very respectable job of it. As one earlier poster remarked, not too many bands would even attempt this in public. The vocal range in this song for the lead singer is huge, and Dante does an excellent job as does Dhagz on keyboard emulating the Brian May guitar solos.BRILLIANT . I was disappointed when Bart the lead guitarist "extraordinaire" departed last Spring, but as much as I guess he will be missed by all, they have managed to fill the gap he left. The four/five part harmonies at the beginning of this song really put the stamp on how the performance is going to fare, and from what I can hear on this video they have definitely improved the harmony "tightness" from when I last visited in Jan/Feb 2010. Can't praise these people enough; J.R really is Mr Cool and such a competent bass player, and the lovely girls, Myra and Ryza, well they just work so well together fronting the band. All really nice people ! A great asset to FLB and I'll certainly be buying them more drinks next visit.
  5. I read in the papers and heard on the radio that yesterday, January 17th was supposed to be the most depressing day of the year, when all the Christmas and New Year celebrations are over; the Christmas tree is dumped in the bin, the decorations have been taken down, it's a leadened skyed UK, and what's more the postman has just delivered the latest credt card bills ! Hope these bring a smile to your face ! Did you hear about the fat, alcoholic transvestite - All he wanted to do was eat, drink and be Mary ! Got an e-mail today from a bored local housewife, 43, who was looking for some hot action! So I sent her my ironing. I got invited to a party and was told to dress to kill. Apparently a turban, beard and a backpack wasn't what they had in mind. After a night of drink, drugs and wild sex Bill woke up to find himself next to a really ugly woman. That's when he realised he had made it home safely. Paddy says to Mick, "Christmas is on Friday this year". Mick said, "Let's hope it's not the 13th then." My mate just hired an Eastern European cleaner, took her 5 hours to hoover the house. Turns out she was a Slovak. Since the snow came all the wife has done is look through the window. If it gets any worse, I'll have to let her in. Came home today to find all my doors and windows smashed in and everything gone. What sort of sick person does that to someone's Advent calendar. I've been charged with murder for killing a man with sandpaper. To be honest I only intended to rough him up a bit. After years of research, scientists have discovered what makes women happy. Nothing. A lad comes home from school and excitedly tells his dad that he had a part in the school play and he was playing a man who had been married for 25 years. The dad says, "Never mind son, maybe next year you'll get a speaking part." Just had my water bill of £175 drop on my mat. That's a lot. Oxfam can supply a whole African village for just £2 a month: time to change supplier I think. Two women called at my door and asked what bread I ate, when I said white they gave me a lecture on the benefits of brown bread for 30 minutes. I think they were Hovis Witnesses Three Afghani boat people land at Dover and are held by the immigration authorities. What were their names ? AMHIR AMHIR AHZWAL AMHIR AHZWAL AHZEEM . =
  6. You've left it pretty tight mate. Do you have time to call/contact these people ? http://www.zintech.co.uk/aboutus
  7. Just love it ...and I thought it was only me this happened to
  8. Hi Villa, I, too have been taking a look at the Lumix range of cameras having lost my TZ5 the other night (left it in the back of a taxi) Here is a link to an excellent video review from cameralabs.com There is a very similar model, the TZ9, which does not have the GPS function that the TZ10 has, and it's about £30-40 cheaper than the TZ10. The TZ9 is available mainly through Currys, Dixons and Pixmania. http://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/panasonic-lum...833933-pdt.html I think I would opt for the TZ9 at around £199 as I don't want the GPS function that the TZ10 features.(The TZ10 is around £249 but there is a £30 cash back offer until mid January) I was certainly very pleased with the Lumix TZ5 that I had until very recentley, and the quality of the pictures taken have featured on this forum on my last TR ! Go for it mate !
  9. From what I can make out there seem to be several varieties of Chang Beer available -- Regular, Classic, Draught and Light. Classic is claimed to be minimum 6.4% ABV while the regular has 5% ABV on its label. Draught apparently is slightly weaker, both in terms of flavour and alcohol content but still has that distinctive malty taste and aroma. Chang Light, at 4% alcohol by volume, is a full-bodied light beer and although alcohol content is lower, does not taste watered down. I've often started off my evenings in Patts with a couple of glasses of the draught which is often offered as a promotion in various go gos, but after reading various comments on this type of medium re: its "integrity" and content, went off it a bit ! That having been said the bottled/tinned variety is always one of the better value options at Family Mart or 7/11 for stocking the fridge in the hotel for a couple of swift ones, prior to hitting the road of an evening.
  10. Just like this
  11. I'm afraid so ! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/...-pipe-trap.html
  12. Have you tried looking at this web site ? http://www.pattayapark.com/waterpark.html I think it may help you

    world cup

England have already announced their intention to pull out of that friendly fixture. Shame ! http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...bid-defeat.html
  14. OK then here is the real LK Legend pool Looks like a very nice place, but certainly not a cheap option !
  15. If I may enlarge on that Sir !
  16. Bazle, Yes I remember having to change queues and going to the desk on the right where they relieved me of £75. As you said though, it's not too bad considering, as mine was due to a family emergency, and I had to "pull the stops out" !
  17. Quote taken from EVA Air's Fare rules for restricted tickets. So £75 is correct . "PE.PENALTIES CANCELLATIONS BEFORE DEPARTURE CHARGE GBP 150.00. INBOUND - CHANGES AFTER DEPARTURE CHARGE GBP 75.00 FOR REVALIDATION" I did this last year thru a travel agent who charged me a small fee. The £75 was paid at the EVA AIR check in at Suvarnabhumi.
  18. I agree with most of the above, but being one of the baby boomer generation, I'd like to see more sixties stuff particularly Beatles music which is some of the most universally popular across generations. From what I can recall on my last visit in Jan/Feb all I ever seemed to hear/see was Bruce Springsteen. Let's face it Pete, pretty much as you said you're on a hiding to nothing trying to please all the people all the time. Interesting post !
  19. Ditto. Agreed on all counts. Never tried going with three
  20. Glyn. It's a one month promotional fare which ends supposedly on 30th September. Same price available at Flightcatchers.com, and slightly more thru Westeast. Certainly a bargain, but no airmiles and one month limited stay. Who cares I've booked upmyself on this one for April/May 2011
  21. Yes it's called "Formula One". All very reasonable and you can also opt for the small breakfast at a reduced price !
  22. Hi Severn, You're leaving UK on Wednesday 8th and therefore arriving in LOS on Thursday 9th. I make it your that 30 day stay on arrival will expire on Friday 8th October so that should be the date stamped on your "Admitted Until" date ? Sorry, I can't help with the cancellation notice question !
  23. ......maybe, but some find it dead boring !
  24. His request approved, the CNN News photographer quickly used a cell phone to call the local airport to charter a flight. He was told a twin-engine plane would be waiting for him at the airport. Arriving at the airfield, he spotted a plane warming up outside a hangar. He jumped in with his bag, slammed the door shut, and shouted, 'Let's go'. The pilot taxied out, swung the plane into the wind and took off. Once in the air, the photographer instructed the pilot, 'Fly over the valley and make low passes so I can take pictures of the fires on the hillsides.' 'Why?' asked the pilot. 'Because I'm a photographer for CNN' , he responded, 'and I need to get some close up shots.' The pilot was strangely silent for a moment, finally he stammered, 'So, what you're telling me, is . . . You're NOT my flight instructor?' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
