  1. Once again, my response is: How come you get to decide? You're not paying, you're not playing, why should we believe you? .
  2. The problem here is that no one died and left you in charge of deciding who deserves stuff. LOGICALLY speaking, I suppose you don't "deserve" happy hour or lower air fares, or higher ones either. But to me, if someone can bargain a wage or a service or any kind of discount then he deserves it. And I have the same standing to declare that as you, until the Deserve Fairy dies. .
  3. Well... they don't have to play Game 7. But they were always going to play Game 1 on Tuesday of next week. The other Game 1 is Sunday night/Monday at 2am. The Reading Royals were up 3-0 on Cincinnati in the ECHL. The Royals are a Boston farm team (and Leafs). The Royals are playing golf today while Cincinnati plays Idaho for the Kelly Cup. Message in there for big-Daddy Bruins? Hmmm. (Cyclones are tied to the Canadiens and Nashville.) I said from Game 1 that Boston-Philly was the most entertaining quarter-final, and it sure was. Game 7, Philly has the edge for a lot of reasons. .
  4. Sure beats "Gosh Save the Kink"! I almost added "by a mile" but it's way, way more than a mile. .
  5. Well... obviously they do, otherwise no one would pay it to them. I think the only certain statement is that you personally would not pay anyone such money, ever. Heck, neither would I, maybe. But I'd take it and I would deserve it exactly and ONLY because someone volunteered to give it to me. .
  6. 5-2 and it's all over (surely). The Pens can start calling for tee times. The best team won, best in everything, from start to now nine and a half to go. Penguins simply didn't want it, got outplayed and outhustled and outthought and out-achieved. .
  7. All of the Above is correct. By your description, yet another reason to think this was a terrible film. I never got that far in that horrible movie, but there isn't such "a leaf" or magic cooler in real life. For Thais, it's rice first and foremost, pineapple or cucumber, but any leaves or raw veggie that are nearby like basil, mint, pak chee farang, cabbage, long beans, lettuce.... These are more or less commonly on a table during a meal. .
  8. 10 seconds in, Sid gets the dumbest boarding penalty in the history of hockey, right at centre ice in front of the ref, causing NO damage to the guy he boarded, who actually looks bemused as he gets up and skates away unharmed. 12 seconds later, a sleepy Fleury watches a backhand go in under his arm. And it's on a delayed SECOND penalty call to the Penguins at that. That is unprepared. Really bad. Good for Moray Awl to come out skating hard and taking advantage of Pittsburgh. .
  9. Sorry Vic but Moray Awl was simply the better team once again. They really have it together at the moment. Crosby and Malkin aren't in a slump, they are in a hard-checking, forechecking vice. They can't break loose. Pens went the whole first half of the second period without a shot. For example. Pens can win but I have to give half a goal to les Habs now, back at the Mellon. .
  10. Okay but we were more interested in details about your luggage. Sorry, but some straight lines just sit there and go, PLEASE comment on me. .
  11. Scam? SCAM?? You can search the news sites for this one. A US Army captain (West Point) has been convicted of stealing $700,000 in aid money. The guy stole CASH when stationed in Iraq, and he had to mail it home to himself, the kindly officers who arrested him found $300,000 in his attic. I have no real doubt this was the guy who emailed me numerous times for help in getting money out of Iraq. If only I'd not been so suspicious about so-called "scams"! This is real. Here is one news story about it. Scam you say? Oh ye of sceptical bent! .
  12. Sigh. How wrong can one person be in one thread? I realise you think you are a spectacular thread-phuocker, but I specifically asked you to read before replying. It was ever such good advice for you. I guess you didn't read the advice either. There's a clue field just south of Pattaya where they hand out free clues all day. Have a gander. Do you good just to pick up a couple, since you're obviously in dire need. I think that figure of 130,000 tickets sold to Americans include the 129,000 sold to the superior American scalpers. I have to say that the Canucks AND the Hawks surprised
  13. You Kiwis are a bunch of idiots who can't even read and haven't a lick of sense. And THINK ABOUT IT before you answer, jackass. There is an actual, real message in there for you. See if you can find it before it slaps your silly gay face. .
  14. Slap Stick!! hahahahahahahaha SLAP STICK! Gonzo, phuock off and start your own thread. What is it with you "people" that you have to JUMP on other people's threads with inane, stupid, uninformed, nonsensical horse puckey. Slap Stick. heh. hahahahaha Don't make me laugh my lips are chapped. How STUPID can one thread phuocker be? Slap Stick!! Jagoff .
  15. Singapore is a red flag because mules LOVE to go through Singapore and think they're clean because they went through Singapore. But customs guys think like drug mules -- they know Singapore is tough on drugs, but they also know Singapore doesn't find any more drugs than any other country. So it's "why did this guy spend a couple of days in Singapore, to get clean hmmmm????" .
  16. Really! I saw the second and most of the third period and I thought the Sharks were very tentative all of a sudden. And to cap it, a VERY undisciplined penalty to give Detroit 6 on 5 at the end. Again, teams have bad nights but two games in a row San Jose didn't look.... what? confident! The Thornton line had some moments but all in all not an inspiring finish. I presume they get Chicago, and they won't intimidate the Hawks. This MIGHT get interesting of a sudden. .
  17. You get searched, or what? .
  18. Well, that is easy. She WILL NOT break free. There are almost no exceptions. Thais, particularly women, do not ever leave their families. Do not count on this at all, there is almost no chance you'll see it. And what jacko said, in general. Taking the mother to the UK is the worst idea in the thread. .
  19. Talk about your off nights!! For all that, I don't think Detroit was that excellent, as much as San Jose was stumblin and fumblin. Nabokov... well, they could have had me in there for about the same result. It was either one bad hair day or the beginning of the worst NHL collapse since 1942. Chicago-Vancouver is very unimpressive. The last four East teams are putting on good entertainment but .... If they awarded the Cup on paper, I think the Sharks get it easily IF they win Game 5. .
  20. This is sort of what I was going to suggest. To the OP - what you are writing, you are saying you are NOT in the family and you're showing no inclination to be in it. Why not consider not being such an outsider? If you are in the family, then all those problems you have disappear. If you're actually serious, 20K a month is an awful lot for the hositility you're getting. There could be more to this story perhaps?? .
  21. Yes. Through LA I usually have less than two hours to a domestic flight and have never been rushed about it. Naturally that depends on being on time arriving, and on the nice Customs agents. But LAX is quite efficient. Be aware you'll probably have to catch a bus from the international terminal to the proper domestic terminal. . .
  22. Well, so much for lesser sports like baseball, American football and hockey, never mind the doomed Nascar. Too bad, it looked for a while like soccer might make an impact, but it's all over now: New Zealand's Black Caps, the national cricket team, and the Sri Lanka national team will play a three match, Twenty20 series in Lauderhill, Florida, in May to launch a new strategic partnership between USA Cricket and New Zealand Cricket. The event makes sporting history, according to the organizers, as the first international matches to be played in the United States by full members of the Int
  23. I'd say 99.999 to 0.001 but only because I never say "never". I agree that it's what worries the hell out of people because people aren't rational. In the real world, it's probably more likely you'll win 2,000 baht on the Thai lottery or get a free taxi ride to Pattaya or screw the stewardess on your flight to Bangkok than having the airport closed. Well, yes. The army WOULD definitely, absolutely let "them" if "they" tried. Don't think the army can/would/should stop "them". To the OP: Your friends are nuts. You must ignore them but you can safely mock them. .
  24. For sheer watchability, this Boston-Philly series is a real thriller - up and down the ice and just very exciting hockey. First game was overtime, I think there were like two whistles in about 18 minutes. Boston is up 2-0 but it could easily be 1-1 or 0-2, it's that close and that much fun, all-out all the time. .
  25. Good report, Plahgat, as always. Only missing your usual pics of the babes encountered. It may have a sign saying that. The people who put up the signs pay for them. But it is first, last and uniquely the "Utapao Royal Thai Navy Airfield". .
