Google Chrome by far is the best of all the ones I have tried. I haven't tried them all, so there may be a better one out there. IE Explorer is too slow for me and Firefox kept locking up on me and proved to be a royal pain in the ass. Therefore and until it gives me problems I will stick with Google Chrome.

Damn, it seems they are getting into every aspect of life all over the world.

Home Run Bar and Grill Bangkok
cannonball83204 replied to Bruce Mangosteen's topic in Restaurants and food
Looks like a great place and as far as I am concerned the prices aren't out of line for the quality and quantity or the atmosphere. I will definitely give it a try next time I am in BKK. Thanks Bruce for the review. -
What American Type Food Available?
cannonball83204 replied to sinsinbad's topic in Restaurants and food
BIGD; I have to disagree with you and your comment about giving the Tex-Mex joints a miss. Mike's Mexican in Jomtien has great Tex-Mex and is on par with any I have had in Texas, New Mexico or Arizona. It is filling and tastes as good as anything I have had here in the states. -
Check out the future of Pattaya: http://thailandmusings.thaivisa.com/pattay...to-grow-by-500/ Quite interesting reading. Will it become true or not?

I am using chrome right now and it opened up for viewing without any problems. I haven't tried it with Firefox.

How did you first discover Thailand?
cannonball83204 replied to captcraig2's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I first heard about Thailand when I was stationed in Viet Nam back in 1971, but never made it. I got divorced in Dec 04 and went to work in Kuwait in Mar 05. Listened to the many stories of guys that spent their vacations in BKK and Patts and Phuket and it finally whetted my appetite. I made my first trip with my buddy who was in Kuwait with me the end of Oct 07. We got introduced to the Rideher Cup, which the Americans won that year, no thanks to us....LOL The rest is history and after 8 trips I hope to be retiring to Thailand in the very near future. I will be living in my TGF's village and after spending time there on my last trip, I think I will love it. It is nice and quiet and I have met aa couple of guys (1 from Wales and the other from Germany) with Thai wives, so already know someone to speak English with. Then there is Dr. Mick in Khon Kaen to go and visit as it is only 200km from where I will be living. All in all, I am really looking forward to this and thanks to all the guys I knew in Kuwait that whetted my appetite for all the pleasures of Thailand. -
Very Good!!!!!

Drunkard Duck Update
cannonball83204 replied to THE DRUNKEN DUCK's topic in Bars/Gogos/Business Owners' Forum
Check out their website: http://www.drunkenduckbar.com/drunken-duck...a-location.html I stayed there for almost 2 months on my last trip and Tony and his staff too real good care of me. Anytime I had a problem, it was sorted out straight away, so I highly recommend them for the location and the price. -
I use this service and I used it while I was in Iraq also. It works pretty well most of the time. Just like most all services of this type they have technical problems every once in a while. The cost is 2.1 cents per minute most anywhere in the world. You just have to get online, create an account and it is pretty self explanatory. I call my girl twice a day and it doesn't cost me a lot each month. Here is the link: http://www.mobivox.com/ Reggie

I just returned from 2 months in Thailand and never had problem with any of their system. I bought a new phone for my girl with the 1 2 Call sim and she never said a word about any of that. Knowing her, if anything like that had happened I would have heard about it. I've had the same number since very early April and I had until October before it expired. I used it enough on this last trip that when I left I have until Nov of next year before it expires. I can top it off anytme from my Kasikorn savings account online, so it is easy to maintain from here. I can also top up my girl's phone the same way. I love it and will keep it for as long as I can. Here is the latest from the Bell Bus website. This is a pop up as soon as their home page loads: Dear All Valued Customers, In the past, there were many passengers reserved seats in advance and did not show up. Therefore within 10 minutes before bus time, we will allocate your reserved seats to other passengers if there are passengers waiting for the bus. But if you are on your way to the bus please kindly call our staff to let us know that you will be travelling with us. Then we will keep the seats for you. Thank you for your understanding and co-operation. Bell Travel Service Team

Brian, maybe you need to read my post, I did not say unplug them from the back of the TV. Here is exactly what I posted: Now I am not a techno by any stretch, but maybe it is possible to buy extensions to increase the length from the TV to the vanity and unplug the cords from the back of the player and use them on your computer.

Old Cherry Bar Girl Offering Airport Taxi Service
cannonball83204 replied to MC_Ldop's topic in Transport in Thailand
More information please. Besides the phone number, does she have an email address so she can be contacted that way to set up taxi. As asked before, what kind of care and is it dependable. Thanks, Reggie -
That really sucks Randy and Frosty. I had planned on going on the crawl, but got mao the night before and made a commitment I could not get out of. Such is the way of life. Worked out good for me...........LOL hope your bike doesn't cost too much to get fixed. Bad luck all the way around.

I just woke up to noise out on Soi LK Metro and went to investigate from my balcony and this is what I found. It is 3 am and has been raining since about 1030 last night. Here are some pics of the soi in front of the Drunken Duck Bar and Guesthouse where I am staying. I watched several motorcycles and pedestrians make their way through this while I was watching. Hopefully it will be drained by the time I go out for breakfast in a few hours.....LOL

In my room (2), there is the vanity with the mirror that I use. I brought the chair in from the balcony and even though it isn't an office chair it works better than the vanity stool. As for the VGA connectors on the flatscreen, they are there and hooked up to the DVD player. Where they plug into the back of the TV is a bit tough to get to as the TV is very close to the wall. Now I am not a techno by any stretch, but maybe it is possible to buy extensions to increase the length from the TV to the vanity and unplug the cords from the back of the player and use them on your computer. I don't know if this is plausible, because I don't know if they make a cord that you can use to extend the length. Next time I get to Tukcom, I will check it out. My computer is a Toshiba and it doesn't have any VGA receptacles to plug into, so it is a moot point for me. Hope this helps...............Reggie

I have been staying here for 2 weeks + now and Tony has been a great host. The rooms are nice and any problems I have had have been taken care of straight away. The staff is all friendly and will do anything within reason for you. Tony has some very nice looking ladies working here, but watch your self if you get into a pool shooting contest with them. You could be skint. LOL The pool tables (there are 2) are in good shape with one costing 20 baht per game and the other free (I think). The bar has a good collection of different music and has even managed to find my favorite college football game on for me last Sunday morning. Great value for the price and the location here on LK Metro, can't be beat. I'll be back.................Reggie

He may have been eligible to receive SSI disablility payments. If you can get SSI to grant that to you it can be taken before age 62. Given Soi7's health problems over the years, it is very conceivable that he is drawing such payments.
