The KLM and EVA flights are always full whenever I fly,that's in the high season.Dont know how busy it is to bangkok during the European summer. Competition is always good .I flew Etihad last November 30.€650 paid an extra €90 for aisle seats.

Thai Airways will start daily direct flights from Amsterdam on July 1st.Direct competition with KLM who do daily flights.EVA fly three times a week.Live in hope that flights will get a bit cheaper,not really expecting € 600 again but you never know.

Years ago I used to buy wasabi powder,to take back to Amsterdam for the restaurant where I was head chef.It was very cheap compared to what it cost in Amsterdam,when you could get it that is.I got it from the Asian sections of the big expat oriented supermarkets.That might be worth trying.Be aware that "wasabi" the real stuff is super expensive.The powder I got was mainly horseradish and mustard with 3-5% wasabi.It did say on the 300-400 gram packets Wasabi powder! Probably can't sell it like that nowadays.

Look for a German brand and only buy small jars/tubes.Unless you are going to use it within a week.If you can find Colmans mustard powder,make a small amount as you need it, that will give you the heat and goes well with beef,and is the most economical.

If you are just here to see the sights and are in tourist mode, Walking Street is a must see,the big gogos like XS are amazing.Just don't buy any lady drinks. The traffic and pollution around soi Buakhao is horrendous,it's an obstacle course.Like walking Street it's a must see.Find a street side bar for people watching,it's very amusing.
