Have you had your toes nibbled?
Desmond Jones replied to gimmble's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Yup. I did it last summer at Big C Shopping Mall, second floor as I recall. It was very strange, and the little fishys went up and down in unison, while the shop girl from across the hall flirted. I sat for twenty minutes I think, and did'nt really notice any reall difference, (I think they say it improves circulation), and I don't remember what it cost. three to five hundred baht or something. I wanted something to tell people back home about, and it was nice, but don't think I'll do it again. Next year I'll dance with a cobra, or put my head in a crocs mouth, move up to the big lea -

Yeah Joey, but we had Michael Jackson. Where else on earth can your own MD promise a good nights sleep like that? And we invented "occupy", though in Mexico and Madrid, it's occupado. And the Kardashian media whore squad extrordinaire? Beat that Iceland, or Eng land ! OBLA DEE BROS -
The urban myth that Pattaya beach is dirty
Desmond Jones replied to Gabor's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
' ' Yes, quite right, and brown topsoil in water does not make it dirty. OBLA DEE BROS -
If this baby is real, you've totally outdone yourself this time. Beware and take heed newbies everywhere. What begins with innocent lunch plate photos, digresses quickly to this. More true stories from the devils playground in Thailand. DISCLAIMER: As far as I know no babies, or Emo girls were harmed in the making of this photo. This assertion cannot be independently verified however without Mr. Gabor certifying such.

The urban myth that Pattaya beach is dirty
Desmond Jones replied to Gabor's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Joe, hell no I'm not a label designer. "Drinking water" is treated tap water. "Mountain Spring Water" comes from mountain springs. It is unadulterated, has natural minerals and is far better for a person than treated bottled tap water which often is sterile possessing no minerals at all. In America, treated tap water cannot be called "Spring" water by law. Arrowhead, Crystal Geyser are two examples of "Mountain Spring Water" bottled at the source. And Joe, this is for informational purposes only, K? Please don't play the gotcha game with me....it's tiresome, and reflects poorly on you. -
Jeez, Joe, come on. First, you will constantly run the risk of mis understanding posts, if you simplistically analize,(whoops, slipped). er analyze, everything you read. What doesn't always shine the light of truth on a statement Joe, is that literal deductive or inductive reasoning you employ ad nauseum tends to fall short of full understanding of what the post was. A joke, a missive Joe, a satirical comment. And yes, it oftens defies logic. For literary license that's been happening since the written word, I find it weird that you find this weird. Whats weird is you being so "up in your

The urban myth that Pattaya beach is dirty
Desmond Jones replied to Gabor's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Now Joe, you and I both know that's not "exactly" true. Depends on the type of "bottle of water" you are refering to. Yes, if you are refering to "drinking water", Ionized, reversed osmosised and coal filtered tap type, but mountain spring water, no, no , no. Secondly Joe, if the water has topsoil in it, this includes dirt(aka topsoil), thus making the water dirt y. Filth, conversely, is something different. Dirty water can be filthy, filthy water based upon confirmed lab analysis may or may not have dirt or topsoil in it. Filthy water in bays tend to most commonly have high concentrations -

Pattaya flooding again ?
Desmond Jones replied to Idefix's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Sure I get it. It rains, it floods, worse in some places than others. More misery. Got it. But really, what I really want to know is:==) What did the dinner look like? -
This being a serious request and all, I add in. First, I carry a leather pouch with a copy of the passport and cash. Usually between 5-10,000 baht for a night out. I organize the cash for easy distribution, as Thai money I'm not as familiar with. All the cash is folded over one time, Twenties on the bottom, then 50's, 100's, and 1000 baht notes, folded over once. In the darker go-go's I don't have to fumble so much. Back in the loom.First stop always is with reception, for the girl to drop off the ID. The suitcase with valuables has small locks to dissuade a rip. Passport, credit cards, a

Make your first day in Thailand the morning at the dentist at Bangkok Dental Hospital. Google it. Teeth cleaning X-Rays, and all dental work same day, in by 9AM, and out by lunch. No need for novacaine if just fillings, and you can arrange it all by e-mail, have itinerary in hand when you get off the plane. I had all my minor work done, and my insurance company loves the fact that I spent a third of charges that would be incurred in the states. I had them fill the form out and it's sent to the insurance when I return home. I've never had the implant, cap, bridge etc., just takes too many

How much should you pay a GoGo girl
Desmond Jones replied to PattayaPete's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Doing this math messes with my head dude. Looking at this thing, I'm covered in details. I'm over 50, I heart stunners, am fat, don't care about personal hygene, am a disgustingly ugly, small dicked drunk and a bore who dresses like a slob. JMHO. Good thing my wallet is fat too. Nice thread Pete, started my day with a laugh. -
Two weeks ago I met a former New Yorker at the Saphire Pattaya Addicts Thursday party. Over the food, I learned he owns several condos, and rents and sells. Unfortunately I've forgotten his name, but I was impressed with his soft approach. I think he posts on Pattaya Addicts with a "View Talay" banner at the tag line. He seemed to be friends with La Mouk, and rounds at the Pattaya Addicts meetings and Thursday parties. Shouldn't be too hard to find, just surf around the Pattaya Addicts site. As I discussed with him timing a buy, he appeared knowledgeable of the market, and shared many details

The 6th floor was being remodeled, and there was some noise in the daytime, though not enough to keep me awake. I'm not sure if those included Seaview Deluxe rooms. I stopped over one day, and every room was gutted. I'm guessing there changing out the bathrooms, painting carpeting etc. Shoot the hotel a e-mail at there website, they are pretty good about getting back in a timely manner.

I've stayed in lots of hotels in Pattaya, in IMHO, nothing can compare to Sandy Spring. Location, steps to beach road baht bus. Full seaview in the deluxe rooms on top floors, hot shower water on demand, fabulous reception, four menus of room service, free internet in the lobby, decent pool. It's got it all. I just finished a two week stay, and it was great. Quiet, housekeepers were great. But I paid. They have a deal now where you pay three hundred baht "membership", and get a "discount" on the rack rate. Whatever. I'm a self professed two week millionaire, and save for my vacation, and pay f

Young guys have fun in Pattaya

Few years ago saw a guy get a beer bottle smashed on his head around 5AM, after that kinda non solicited idiocy. Bet he had a headache next day. -
sandy springs hotel
Desmond Jones replied to fisherman194's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
Sandy Springs is guest friendly. Sandy Springs has satisfied my hotel needs for many years. The seaview deluxe has allowed me to view sunsets from the balcony and many afternoon delights. Whenever I've returned alone, the ladies at the counter ask if I'm alright. They get concerned when you DON'T go to your room without a girl. That all said, I am a bit dismayed that they have raised their prices by around 500 baht for the seaview deluxe. I don't know if they are still on my value bang for the buck radar. Amenities, friendliness, and all around comfort though is very good. O -
I concur that China Southern has the cheapest, but you have to sit in a Chinese airport. Taipai is not much worse, but shortly I'll fly out of LAX on China Air, which I've used numerous times, and the layover on the way out is mostly an airport walkthrough in Taipai. I've had several upgrades now to buisness class with the miles accumulated. Thanks China Air. Service is not as good as say Singapore or Korean, unless of course you look asian, no prejudice, just a fact. Good luck, I say pay it out, suck it up, and sit back and watch a few movies, and just when you can't stand flying anymore

Yes, definitely, and if the fine dining of Burger King is not to her liking, may I suggest the Colonel? Most excellent Kentucky Fried Chicken. Ok, I'm done laughing now. Good one DUSA.
