Three friends married women from different parts of the world..... The first man married a Filipino. He told her that she was to do the dishes and house cleaning. It took a couple of days, but on the third day, he came home to see a clean house and dishes washed and put away. The second man married a Thai. He gave his wife orders that she was to do all the cleaning, dishes and the cooking. The first day he didn't see any results, but the next day he saw it was better. By the third day, he saw his house was clean, the dishes were done, and there was a huge dinner on the table. The t

My wife is a farm girl. Most Thais are afraid of the took kaes. She complains that they shit big turds and she doesn't want them in the house. One day she was yelling at me to come and help her. She was standing in front of the microwave. She said a took kae was under it. I quickly went out in the garage and got a welding glove. She told me she didn't need that and told me to just pick up the microwave. I did so and she grabbed him bare handed. Outside he went. One day she wanted me to look at something. I went into the living room and she had a big black scorpion sitting on a bamboo fly s

Don't mistake frogs with toads. A friend of mine bought his wife a very expensive puppy. His wife loved that puppy. One day she caught him chewing on a toad. Of course she took it away from him but the next day the puppy was dead.

When you live out in the boonies, you need more than a motorbike for transportation. Most of us would not consider riding a motorbike 650 kilometers. The most fun I ever had was when I had a Suzuki Caribbean. It had big pipe bumpers on the front and the back. Other drivers take a careful look before trying to bully you.

I think we are talking about the wrong Kalifornia. I would probably have liked your Kalifornia but it's unlikely that a job there would have paid me $80,000 per year. Five years in the land of freaks, fruits and nuts was nearly more than I could stand. It did enable me to retire at age 60, then it was back on the plane to Thailand with a one way ticket.

When I moved to Kalifornia during the Thai economy crash I rented an apartment. One of the first stops after I got settled in was at the complex laundromat. There I spied a good looking woman doing her laundry. Of course I got to chatting with her. We were both divorced. She asked me what I missed most by being divorced. Of course that answer was the sex. She smiled about that answer and I thought maybe Kalifornia won't be so bad. The conversation was going pretty well. Then I made the fatal mistake. I told her that I also missed my wife doing the laundry and cooking. She went from a good look

Bankers are all heart,-particularly when a blonde lady appears. A blonde walks into a bank in Sydney and asks for the loan officer. She says she's going to Hong Kong on business for two weeks and needs to borrow $5,000. The bank officer says the bank will need some kind of security for the loan, so the blonde hands over the keys to a new Mercedes. The car is parked on the street in front of the bank, she has the title and everything checks out. The bank agrees to accept the car as collateral for the loan. The bank's manager and its officers all enjoy a good laugh at the blonde for us

The wheels are made of hard plastic with sort of like a fat rubber band around them. Just the rubber failed. They still rolled OK other than the clack, clack on tile floors. Travel Pro sent me two complete sets free of charge and with quick service. As far as the handle, it looked like it got snagged on something during handling. It pulled out one end and I was able to repair it like new myself. Somewhere I still have the extra handles that they sent me.

If you want soft sided luggage, I doubt that you will find better than Travelpro. They are not cheap but are also not stupidly expensive. I have had no problems with zippers or anything else except for wheels and handles. The wheels and handles were promptly replaced by Travelpro. The rubber on the wheels on one and a handle on another. Travelpro sent two sets of wheels and two handles with no questions asked. I rarely use the largest one but the carry on and the other two pieces have had a hard life and are holding up very well. One thing I really like is that they send straps that you can us

Given his massive size, I can understand why they would want him handcuffed but why have his hands in the back rather than in the front?

The dog; The true story of Hachiko Let’s roll back 86 years. Hachiko ((ハチ公), white male dog of Akita breed, was born in 1923 on a farm near the city of Odate in Akita prefecture on the north of Honshu. Nearly a year later he was brought to Tokyo by his owner, Hidesaburo Ueno, a professor of agriculture at the University of Tokyo Every morning when Ueno went to work, Hachiko (also called Hachi) saw him off at the front door and waited for him in late afternoon on the same spot at the nearby Shibuya Station. This has become their daily routine. The tragedy occured in May of 1925 when Ha

I knew that I was going to retire here in Thailand. When I was traveling back and forth, I had a fairly large hard sided Samsonite. My last trip back to the States, the luggage handlers managed to crack it. It served me well for a number of years so I decided that I wouldn't try to collect on the lifetime warranty. I started to research luggage and as a result, a brand of soft sided called Travelpro came out on top. I bought a complete set, a large one, a medium large one, a wheeled carry on and and a simple small carry on. Other than the small carry on they all had wheels. When I got home, I

I kill centipedes and the small brown scorpions. Contrary to the opinion that the big black scorpions are dangerous, it is the little tiny ones that pack a wallop. I don't kill the black ones. They are actually quite docile.

Shrinking Pattaya Reservoirs

I'd be worried if the water level of the Great Lakes starts to drop. www.epa.gov/greatlakes/basicinfo.html Jun 11, 2015 - The Great Lakes are the largest surface freshwater system on the Earth. Only the polar ice caps contain more fresh water. 84% of North America's surface fresh water. about 21% of the world's supply of surface fresh water. -
I wish you the best of luck in a cut throat business.

A good reason to have a 4X4. You may get a wet floor but you won't stall out. -

What happened to the big pipeline from a river just south of Bangkok? They have been working on it for several years. -
It is true that you never know for sure until you use the product. I have been using the same drug store for many years for all my needs. I'd hate to think that I can't trust the guy.

I'm by no means an expert but I can say that I have had some really nasty side effects for a couple of different products. Since I don't use the helpers very often, I'll continue to pay over the top for what I think are genuine name brand products.

I've heard Chang beer is going from 6 to 5.5% alcohol
Gary replied to Chester007's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
Up in the boonies where I live, a few watering holes will have Singha but most offer only Leo. If you can't drink Leo, you will be thirsty. I drink Leo because I have no other option. Beer drinkers are usually able to get used to nearly any brand. Most places charge 60 baht for a big bottle. I go out 2 or 3 times a week and meet up with a few other local farangs. We solve the world's problems. I try to limit myself to 3 bottles so my bill is 180 baht plus a 20 baht tip. -

They have made the bottles smaller and eliminated Export, Light and Draught. Whether it will benefit them by having one beer, named Classic in green bottles remains to be seen. -

If I were a bomb maker, I would not consider setting a bomb off with a cell phone. Someone could dial a wrong number (TIT) and that would be the end. A simple alarm clock or a timer would be much safer. The government could send a signal to every known cell phone frequency once in a while and that could eliminate a few lunatics who are using cell phones for detonators..
