Not sure Gus, but they do intend to replace all 747s with 777s.

Just got called yesterday by EVA with an equipment change. Chose seat 27d on 747 Combi. Now they switched to 747 400 passenger, and put me in 29d. I wish they would get rid of those 400s, or make 1st class into Premium Laurel class. They never fill up the 1st class area, and 27d aboard the combi would have allowed me PLENTY of extra leg room, because there's no seat in front of it.

I got to fly PLC from BKK to TPE. Cost me 15k miles but was worth it. I don't know if I'll upgrade on the next trip through. I read the economy seats on the 330 are wider than the the cattle class seats in the 747.

That's better than the 550 the limo service wants. If I can only get through their gaunlet of idiots from blocking my passage, I can save myself about 5 bucks.

ahh too bad it wasn't one of their regular 400s. Only 12 seats for FC in the nose(which they never seem to fill), wheras the combis have about 50, which are always filled.

If you get a Evergreen Card. The miles are upgraded when you start the first leg of your trip. That's dependent though if you got the plastic one, and not the paper one you get on the website. Otherwise it takes about 6 days to upgrade your miles. You may also have to photocopy your boarding passes and fax them to EVA's service center. I now have the Silver card, which entitles me entry to the Evergreen lounge on each leg of my flight.

Tangent, Just booked for November 12. EVA Evergreen Deluxe Class. Friday Afternoon Flight. $900.50 taxes included. I will not waste my miles and upgrade from EVD class to business class on their 747 flights though. That was a waste of 30000 miles.

Same here KJ. Unfortunately some dumbasses travelling together don't get seats by each other. I've had my aisle seat hijacked a couple of times.(the last trip for instance). I will not let it happen again.

Tried the instructions, but it didn't work. You need to have a DVD in the player. So I can't set the region. But I found out that the Hendrix DVD I bought was in PAL format. So as far as I'm concerned, it works since the player plays NTSC and PAL.

I was in Pattaya last May, and the streets were quite empty compared to November last year. And the pickings were real good also. This year I read it's May 15 - 29. Though, I could be wrong.

KJ, It will cost you 45000 to upgrade to Business Class. I did that on the return leg of my upcoming trip, because they're using a regular 747-400, instead of of the 747-combi. Evergreen Deluxe is 2 sections of the Combi, whereas it is one on the regular 400. They should get rid of the 400s and use Combis because they hardly ever fill up the 1st class section. When FW and I flew last May, the whole 1st class section was completely empty.

It got erased when Pete moved to this new board. Kinda glad though. Don't ever want to have an experience like that again.
