  1. I'm debating about this room for 1300 Baht, it has so much to offer {the suite}.. http://www.swissfood.net/
  2. It was a fun final to watch, I hope the British Open is just as good...
  3. http://www.swissfood.net/ looked very good...
  4. I was there last year and she wanted a room away from the action with some privacy. I paid 2,400 Baht, but it was well worth it. www.nordic-samui-bungalow.com
  5. Thank You Ben, MM and Pattaya Pete, that was a nice tribute..
  6. This may help you for a month long stay, it takes a minute to load, so be patient. http://www.a2zpattaya.com/index.htm?main=m2901.htm
  7. Nana Hotel, a Deluxe Room for 1500 baht.. http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=13817
  8. Bert left the QV in Jan 2005, to open his own business. The Penthouse Flats are very nice and big, but those stairs do get to be a pain in the arse. The food is very good, drinks are reasonable and the location is great. But without Bert and a girl named Bee, it's not as good was in the past.
  9. Very nice photos, Pete... Hoping for all the best , in this tragic time.
  10. http://www.nyairportservice.com/fares.html I can catch a 6AM flight out of Charlotte and be there by 8AM, it's worth a try. The bus schedule looks good for an 8 mile ride {JFK to LGA}
  11. Got a website..?
  12. Belem.. For your punishment, you should have to listen to this... http://www.netheaduniversity.com/sounds/UI...noisloyalty.mp3 I'd think cowboy and VicVegas would agree with me on this.
  13. Aircraft : Airbus 340-500 60 Seats in Royal Silk Class / 42 Seats in Premium Economy Class / 113 Seats in Economy Class Not many cheap seats on this aircraft...
  14. Tab... But after flying nearly 21 hours to get to BKK, the room size at the Majestic Suites, reminds me of where I've been the last 21 hours... Too small for me, but the hotel is a nice one..
  15. Hmmmm....Only one thing for sure about you, sweetie...
  16. To be very honest with you, I avoid the fellow countrymen, while in Pattaya. In 2002, I was at a Beer Bar with one and he ended up shouting how the great the USA was in the middle of the street. Not once, but for up to 5 damn minutes, it was a show of ignorance on his part. I'm not ashamed to be from the USA, but realize I'm a visitor in another country and there is no need to start any crap. I'm sure every country has it share of idiots who can't handle the alcohol. It's amazing how a 6 pack of courage will allow the mouth to run at a fools pace. Met a man from Germany on the last trip, who has been coming to Pattaya since 1979, it was a history lesson and fun listening to the Pattaya stories. I just blend into the crowd, doesn't matter where you are from, as long as you are civil.
  17. Honestly, you pay for it in one way or another, so what is the problem...? If I was to add up all "her" expenses during our marriage,what she got after the divorce and then do the math, I could have had a lifetime of sex in Pattaya.

  19. I'm hoping the homestate, does show them how good they really are. {Illinois}
  20. Why not just used the regular bus for about 90 Baht..? Goes about every 45 mins or so.
  21. Ting_Tong has a damn good point, you can also buy frames on E-bay, if you know your size..
  22. Did you get a reciept for the massage/smoke and send it in...?
  23. Niteowl.. I'm going to flip the coin on this one and look at the other side. I won't bring a laptop to Thailand, as the Internet cafes are cheap and good enough for me. I also can't "lose" a laptop. In room safe is nice, but one at the front desk is just as good. I do like a direct dial phone, in case of an emergency {medical} . I can get good enough food , it's all around Pattaya. I usually budget up to 1,000 Baht/night, but tend to actually stay at 800 Baht. I'd choose the Baybreeze, as it's location is good, close to internet cafe, good places to eat, clean enough for me and laundry is all around that area. Look at it this way, if you can save up to 1200 baht/night, that does add up over a 1 week time. Lately I've been staying at the Skaw Beach Hotel for 650 Baht/night, as it has everything I need. To me a room is not that important, just give me the basics and I'm content.
  24. I did this about 2 yrs ago and was happy with the eyeglasses. But, I did have a concern about the computerized eye examination. It may be best to have it done the old fashion way at home and bring the prescription with you, to have the eyeglasses made in Thailand. I paid about 8,000 Baht for a pair with clip on sunglasses, I'm very happy with the frame. It was around the Soi Post office area. I had a monkey bend the shit out of them in Koh Samui and they bent right back into shape. Had the exam in the AM and the glasses were done by 5PM.
