  1. YenJit Money Changer & Y.J. Holidays Walking St opposite to Family Mart This is down past the FLB {going towards the pier, same side of street}, the place is commission free for TC's and gives a very good rate. E-Mail: yenjit_t@hotmail.com I've used them many a times instead of the banks Also if you wander onto Soi 6 {Yodsak}, just about 1 block past the Queen Victoria Inn, there is a comission free exchange place. It's on the same side of the street as the Queen Vic. I suppose you could take in the sights located there also..? The commission free places will save yo
  2. That's why it's so nice when you leave that 20 Baht on the bed for her...Any extra sure does help her.
  3. I'd be interested to know what your Insurance will cover Fr. Lust, as MetLife was very good at covering a certain % of my crowns. Of course they made out in the deal, by paying a lesser amount. I hope your Dentist is cooperative and will give you all the details you need to get things done. The normal Baht Bus ride is 100 Baht {each way}. Go in the front door , look to your right for a set of stairs and the Dental Unit is on the 2nd Floor, through the glass doors. Hoping for the best...
  4. You lost me on that reply KhoaBoy....
  5. Fr.Lust... BPH will give you an estimate if you can detail them with the exact work to be done. Now my Dental Insurance {Met Life} is worldwide and they did cover $285 of the $670 cost of 2 crowns. They did require X-Rays and a Hospital Certificate, along with the completed Insurance Forms and of course the bill...Check with them before going to make sure of all the details.. They also figured the exchange rate from the bill and I backed it up by charging it on my CC. You might be able to get a very good deal on this and have an excuse to go to Pattaya... Gus....
  6. There is a mini-van service at the airport to take you to Pattaya, just make that request and I'm sure you will find one..
  7. There was a thread started on this awhile back and I don't think the majority liked the place... http://www.pattayatalk.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=5885
  8. Inn of the Golden Crab is across from the Haven Hotel... 322/4 Soi 13 Beach Road Tel: {038} 421 -648 Fax : {038} 422-728 I'll be in Pattaya on Sep 9th and would be glad to stop by and get information for you. From memory I think it was 12,000 Baht/month, but that was 2 years ago. Try these links for more information. http://www.pattayavacation.com/Ueberblick.htm http://www.pattaya-thailand.org/pattaya_rent.html http://www.rongraem-pattaya.com/apartments.html http://www.sanya-apartments.com/index2.html
  9. FYI..Any area around the VC Hotel is somewhat "undesirable", as it's an Arab thing. I usually try to avoid that area as I don't like the loud Arab rap music and the stares from the people... Actually, if your looking at a place close to the FLB, try the Windy Inn or Right Spot Inn Then again it's not in the same class as the RG.... When I would come from the RG, I would get off at the Diamond Beach sign{left side} and cut through to Walking St.
  10. Done 2 crowns, with a 3rd one coming up in Sept. Best to make an appointment before you arrive... http://www.bph.co.th/pages/dentalcenter.html

  15. It seems the demand for Pacific travel is up this year and prices are heading upwards also. I got a Jan 2005 for $624 {tax included} on EVA and I was happy with the price. The week of 9-11 still scares the people and always will, bookings for that week have never recovered to past levels. Great time for a vacation...!
  16. Bert at the Queen Vic is getting ready to open another hotel in the Fall of 2004 {Lord Nelson} http://www.queenvictoria-inn.com/diary.htm Then you got the one opposite the RG.. http://www.roofgardeninn.com/
  17. It's the layover time that can kill you on the US-European Route. If you leave about 6 PM in the US, you have a 6 to 7 hour layover in the European city . But you can do a 9PM to FRA on UA and then theres a HUGE price difference as opposed to an Asian routing...
  18. Depends on when your going, if your going in Sept, you could go to priceline.com and bid $20 on a hotel in the Sukumvit Rd area and get that bid. I got one across from Soi Cowboy area for $25 {Regency Park Bangkok} Off season is a good time to bid on priceline.com {2 or 3 Star}
  19. How about this one...? http://www.thailand-hotel.net/bangkok/hote...657at.html#home
