World Cup, want to watch in Pattaya
atlas2 replied to benny27's topic in General Discussion about Pattaya
I think this time 'England' also fit into the parameters of your 'comfort zone' and therefore qualify for your support. It will be just like cheering on Scotland ……… There's no danger we'd actually win so don't worry about that! And you'd be supporting British style football. The very same football you've just said you've travelled the world to watch. Why not Tom? I feel the same as Bushcraft and I'd have been cheering on any of the countries from the British Isles that made it to the finals. -

Walcott out for 6 months…..he'll miss the lot. -
I was young and foolish and needed the money…. Now it all seems so embarrassing. Until today I thought only Papillon had seen this…….

They are only glorified ski-poles……..Golf shops stock Driver shafts that might be long and strong enough for what you need. Or pick some second hand clubs up at the market in Teprasit and adapt them yourself.

I always swim first thing…... usually just before the sun comes up. Lately it's been so cold I've been strolling over to the pool in the long white toweling-dressing gown I bought from a stay at Cabbages and Condoms. Security downstairs has started calling me, 'Frosty the Snowman' which I think is quite droll. Cold this morning, but not as cold. Gonzo had said that you 'soon warm up'……. and that's usually my experience but a few days back I didn't warm up at all. This morning I paid particular attention to where I feel coldest and just like the wind chill factor on a motorcyc

Hear you developed the taste for the stuff on a night out with Bear Grylls.

Ahh your alternative………'SML' …. I've always wondered how they get the cats to balance on top of the bottles.

This is a paparazzi long lens shot of Jacko marinading in piss, and band aids……….

'Maahi ve' I'm told means, "I have a little willy" in Hindi Actually once you get passed the guy wafting his farts away at the beginning of the vid this is a great song…And some lovely girls shaking their bargees………Shame really! Check out the girl with the hennaed hair. Now she looks like she'd put her heart and soul into it. http://youtu.be/zODNDUY4mMc

Your answer to the charge Monkeyman…………"Pedantic, I?"

My posting stuff in this section might be becoming a bit tedious for some of you. I ought to pack it in. But thinking I might do so…….this is the song I've chosen to go out to. I'm a sucker for 'tunes'…..melodies…….. They don't compete with the innovative, exciting and driving rock of my youth……..Don't have to. But some of the songs my dad whistled through his false teeth will live on long after I'm in the ground with him. This song combines my dad's generation with mine. In this song Clapton reaches a personal pinnacle, his voice tender and authentic his phrasing perfe

Jacko's not a bigot..... Unless we all are.

I protest. Greymatter is entitled to his alternate view as to what works and what irks comedically. His PC-poe-faced, stygian gloom is interesting and probably responsible for pro-longing the thread. Unless I've missed a few posts that were against board rules I don't see why you've done this Jacko. This is the funnies section…... If it helps I'm quite happy to change ….."Wound so tight that when he farts only dogs can hear him!" To…….. "He's puckered up as tight as a shark's arse at 50 fathoms"

I had NO intention of going this morning………. But then that little voice……. "You're getting old atlas give this up. Settle down in your slippers. Have a nice cuppa and read Jacko's morning blurb……. " Well that was it of course and I was up and off. I nearly packed it in half-way through though. I felt numb, uncoordinated and clumsy in the water, breathing was shallow………"Told you!!……..Old…. and farty atlas" This is the first time in 6 years I've felt so cold here. I've long suspected that the force of gravity increases it's pull upon us as we get older……Now I'm thinking Mo

I tell you my pre-dawn dips have been testing my British phlegm. I've never known it this bloody cold in Thailand. The benefit though is I've had the pool to myself for a couple of weeks….Keeps the riff-raff out you see. …….They have more bloody sense!!

Here's a Clapton stab at a Hendrix stab at Dylan. Nothing beats those crunching acoustic chords of the original Hendrix version but Clapton's live lead pays homage while adding some drama of his own. From a concert in The White House

I don't know if you don't As for me………"I'm going to be more positive and less sarcastic………….. yeah right!! How long before I screw that up?"
