Agree... songkran is a great fun....( Only the old, grumpy / snobbish guys avoid it... ) BTW, easy to survive... Exactly...when I'm hungry for the veggies, salads I go to the Sizzler... The only buffet + soft drink + VAT + anything else it costs over 200 baht... but worth IMO... apart ftom the ingredients you mentioned... crispy broccoli, several good salads, grated cheese, sunflower seeds and the delicious salad creams to make your salad perfect...The pasta and soup offer is really poor, but hey... I go there to eat salads and veggies....

Chinese tour groups are no problems apart to infest the sidewalk.... the japanese and korean yellow fever infests the GOGO bars are the big-big problem...( at least for the farang mongers... not for the bars )

Exactly my thoughts...living here is still good...not only because of the girls ( all we have a stable regular base ) but the overall experience... But being a short time, unknown monger tourist... the scene is hopeless...even if a LDOP...
