partyanimal, If you ask one of the flight attendants nicely, she may give you a Golden Shower ;D

I understand that the THB is linked to the USD and the USD is not very strong at the moment, about £1=1.70USD. Now the 64,000 dollar question, do any of the Bros with excellent financial knowledge know which way the dollar will head in the next couple of months? The reason I am asking is the Peninsula Hotel rate is in USD and I will pay in advance if it is going to become stronger.

Last winter Scairtours flew Uk- Phuket mainly with cruise passengers for the Seawing. Unfortunately they are not doing it this winter, because it could have been a cheap way to fly to LOS. I believe they were selling flights plus 7 day cruise for about £400 last year, probably why they are so many million in the red.

BigDUSA, I sent an e-mail to The Peninsula Hotel asking what their policy was regarding guests, here is what they said. "Kindly be advised that there is no additional charge for to bring a joiner" I have it in black and white so I think I may treat myself to The River Retreat Package, whether I upgrade from the 'S' Class Merc to a Roller for the airport transfer I am not sure [smiley=grin.gif]

BigDUSA, That 150USD sounds a bit out of order, before I book I'll check it out with the Peninsula beforehand by e-mail, their customer service is usually pretty good. I was originally thinking of staying 1 night after going to Samui so it wasn't paramount about bringing a guest back, but 2 nights thats too long without a nice TG. Rgds

Tom, Many thanks for that extra info, if I hear anything else I'll post the info. I booked with Ourstravel in August and I still haven't paid a penny yet!, and Ours have obviously booked me on the flight with Eva, thanks to FBF for that little gem. Rgds

I'm out on Eva deluxe in January, been told by Eva that this is now a 747-400 on the day I'm flying. For the return flight it is still a combi, so I guess that after January 1st, half the flights will be 747-4 and half the Combi. Returning on 27D but out not quite sure as they have to wait until check in for babies etc, although the Eva girl was very helpful and put a memo in for ex-legroom. Rgds

Lookn4 There is http://www.biddingfortravel.com/ This gives you all the priceline info you need. For my last 2 days I am going to spoil myself and go for the once in a lifetime stay at The Peninsula, they have a great 2 night package called River Retreat . For HK bros check out Farrington Travel they have some great deals.

partyanimal Anchorage must be a poisoned chalice, one China Air flight couldn't be bothered to taxi to the runway and departed the aiport from the taxiway

I have just booked 2 nights in January at The JWM Bangkok with Priceline. I payed slightly over the top because I didn't double check the value of GBP against the USD. Payed £41 plus tax/charges comes to £55per night still not bad for 5* The next cheapest I found was siam.net at £146 for 2 nights inc tax no ABF If you bid start at 56USD per night plus tax /charges, you should get it, Breakfast extra.

You can take the male out of Public School, but you can't take the Public School out of the male makes you wonder what happened at Gordonstoun School? ;D -
Eltib I think it was a China Airlines at Anchorage that departed the airport from the taxiway rather than the runway..........hmmm

I was just wondering if anyone could hazard a guess what percentage of TGs working in Pattaya come from the Isaan region? It must be pretty high, also what % of BKK girls are from Isaan? TIA

Tab Check out http://home.btclick.com/ourstravel/ This is a travel agent near Euston station, very good prices and you don't have to pay until 2 weeks before you go, so if you have to cancel, no charge. -
I will be going to Lamai in the first week of February, I still cannot glean enough info on hotels to make a definite booking at a specific hotel, will there be many vacancies in February or does it tend to be sold out? TIA

Helicopter Transfer Bangkok to Pattaya

Will Don Muang be closing when the new airport opens? I have only been to DM twice, 1 in, 1 out but I thought the airport seemed OK. -
Bros the full story is in the Bangkok post. In a nutshell Thai Air are to start flying BKK-Samui with 2 Boeing 737-400s, safety issues have been raised due to the short length of the runway given the weight of the 737. I don't know if the jet exhaust will blow the airport buildings away or not [smiley=grin.gif]

Guys, I will; all being well, be going to Samui in late January. I have been in touch with 2 hotels at Lamai which seem to fit my requirements, the Utopia and Rocky Resort. Utopia wants 50% non-refundable deposit and Rocky wants 30%, these both seem a bit high to me, what do you think? If the hotels took say 1 days deposit up to 30 days before then 2 days up to 7 days before that seems to be more reasonable. Hopefully nothing would go wrong but you never know as it is still 20 weeks away, if I try to book through an agency, they normally have to abide by the hotels terms don't they? Any ti

I heard about the guy who worked as a night-watchman at a factory. Unfortunately there was a fire, the factory was saved, but the night-watchman who had 2 wooden legs was burnt to the ground. The police said it was arson. The insurance company refused to pay out as they said he didn't have a leg to stand on. Rgds

Tom, I am not sure 100% about the Boulevard as I have not yet stopped there. I'll try and locate the forum piece where I read about the hotel being GF. The hotels I am considering are Amari Boulevard, Landmark,JW M, Majestic,Sheraton Grande and maybe a couple of others. I don't really want to pay 5,000thb pn so that kinda rules out a couple, then it must be girl friendly and there are usually two opinions with these hotels, some Bros say they've never had problems and others say Hotel wasn't GF to them. I am sure wherever I stay the staff will understand my needs, if not it's pack your bag
-
AE Someone posted that as long as you book a double at the Amari you should be OK, also when checking in if you ask reception for a green coloured key tag that shows night security that you are OK to bring back TG. I believe it is 'up to you' if you make your TG leave her ID at reception. I stand corrected if this is not the case. Rgds
-
Tom, Thanks for the info, price is not a major problem, I was just interested in what the "better" girls charged. I think I may stay at Amari Boulevard but not yet decided as I am not going until january. Rgds

In Rivas how much do the girls charge ST, LT? Also how much for drinks? TIA
