taltos You will be cutting it fine mate, but it should be possible. The walk is not too far but do you have to go through immigration and then check in again? May be a wait at immigration or can you stay airside? If you stay airside maybe they can whizz you between the two terminals on one of those buggys.

fbf Yes it's surprising that Eva have no details on the 777 in their fleet facts. I like the 747,it has 4 engines for one thing. If you have an engine go tech in the 777 probably have to land within a couple of hours, Lahore, kabul etc. Not sure if these 777s are brand new or if Eva are getting them from another airline, or even Evergreens boneyard in Arizona
-
I wasn't seriously thinking of booking with EVA as Ours Travel are OK and don't want the money until 2weeks before you go. The search around my dates still revealed Eva wanted £3,078 for Evergreen One thing I noticed was a 777 on Sat,Tue,Thur. Not sure if with the 777 there are only 3 classes, not 4.

It would be very interesting if one of these airlines set up a Utapao(Pattaya)-Clark(Angeles) shuttle service, the mind boggles what guys would get up to. The inflight snack would be, "Cialis or Viagara Sir?"

I will be going to LOS(Land of Shagging) again in November. I checked out EVAs site for a price just out of interest and it shows LHR-BKK about £3,000 I like OURS travel because they don't want the money until 2 weeks before you go. The dates I put in were Saturday flights and it showed as being a Boeing 777, will these have Evergreen DeLuxe or can I remember it being said about Premium Laurel? EVAs site doesn't mention the 777 in their Fleet facts section.

This last trip I used him and will probably use him again. I e-mailed to say my flight would be 2-3 hours late, however no one told the driver, in the event he had a 2 hour wait. The deal was 1000 plus tolls inc airport tax but the driver said 1200 plus tolls, he had been waiting the 2 hours and I couldn't be arsed to argue for 200, he just got a smaller tip. I even had an e-mail from Mr dang but fuck lets hit the bars. The car was a Mitsubishi Evolution (copy copy) skirts, spoilers, exhaust plus 1600 engine and worn shockers! The driver didn't know where Baybreeze was, I think some dri

18.5 hours, I assume thats non stop, which way does it go as it must be pretty much the opposite side of the world from New York? Wasn't there an aussie guy whinging about a 10 hour flight? Mines 11/12 hrs and quite long enough.

trav It really depends on how much you want to spend on your accomodation, you can usually get JW Marriott for around 75$. Majestic suites comes well reccomended, also a hotel called Grottino but that is around soi 19.

Cheers Ian, after I had posted I found Orient Thai, I remember seeing their 747s at BKK, they look a bit dodgy Nok don't seem to be doing too well, I hope they survive. Rgds

Which airlines fly within Thailand and Laos? I expect Air Asia, Thai, Nok Air, any others? Then I can check out their schedules and pricing and put a trip together. TIA

This trip I stayed 5th floor big room at Baybreeze for 800. Last trip I paid 2500 for a suite room on 7th floor at SS. I think the Baybreeze is better value for the rooms I had, but I am sure for 1050 a room at SS is good value, probably quieter too.

Hotel Reviews from my last trip - BKK and PTY
Gus replied to x4p3gsu's topic in Hotel and Accommodation Questions
xp4 Great reviews, you can also read what other members think in the Hotel reviews section. I have not been to the Lek breakfast but across the road International do a similar 95 baht buffet, buffet was cold and many flies around, best to go to the Haven or Sportsman on Soi 13 for good breakfast food. I will be adding some hotel reviews but please give me a bit of time. Rgds -
berger London lounge Same Same I just go to the Eva ticket desk and ask to buy lounge access, I am only green member of Evergreen club. It is worth the money if you have 2hours plus to wait.

Just a quick update from a cool internet cafe in hot Lamai Beach, Samui. My flight arrived inbound at LHR 3 hours late, the aircraft was full and I couldn't upgrade to Evergreen or Business. However, I had an aisle seat in the zoo and it wasn't too bad, 34" I think. I paid 18 quid to go into the SAS London lounge, no hot food, biccies etc plus cheese and a small salad bar. I had my share of Carlsberg and Gin and Tonics and watched Conair in the TV lounge. There was a danger that our flight may not be able to depart as LHR closes at night, however a quick turnround and we took off about 2335

It looks like I am going to get my moneys worth, the inbound flight from BKK is 3 hours late Oh Well, thats the beauty of travel, I e-mailed Dangs Taxi to tell them to check with airport or Eva what time flight will now arrive, I guess 3hrs late so 1900. Out of airport 2000, hopefully Jensen Button to Baybreeze 2215, SSS out 2300, first Heiny 2305, TG2330 Job Done, Sleep well

Gerald Tom is correct, it is the SAS lounge, 2 levels, free internet, quite a nice lounge with seperate TV room. Food is OK but nothing special, plenty of free drinks, just help yourself I hope to get in there tonight if possible, I paid £18 last time but worth it if you have over 2 hours to kill.

There was a guy who got a job as a minder with a Walking Street Go Go, 20,000 baht per mth plus he could shag a girl once a week for free. During the week he found a beautiful girl, went to the short time room and she gave him a wank. The guy was not best pleased and went to see the boss about why he only got a hand job instead of a shag. The boss said,"Oh I forgot to tell you, you have to work a week in hand" With that I am now off to pack my case for tonights flight to Don Muang

Tom et al I got the Westin on priceline in November, however P/L usually comes up JWM. I have just taken out a Marriott rewards C/C inc Silver Elite Rewards so I will see in a couple of weeks if it gets me any favours at JWM. The Westin used to be called The Grand Pacific. For the Landmark I have found http://www.asiabesthotel.com You can get an ordinary room for £45 inc tax and brekkie, I stayed with this set up in February and the Landmark tried to give me a room without a window WTF but I finished up with a room on the 23rd floor and a view over Nana to JWM. Premier was co

chef andy Welcome to the forum Sorry I cannot be of too much use for the chef thingy, I would say the wages would be so low it wouldn't be worth thinking about. I think wombat was just having a laugh, did you see the smiley at the end of the sentence? He has posted over 1600 posts and has been a very valuable member to the forum, which I am sure you will be, given time

taltos I assume you are flying into Stanstead and then out of Heathrow, as Tom said the National Express coach looks the best bet. I think it is service JL717 or similar, coaches every 45 mins or so and takes 90-120 mins with 1 stop. The coach will have a toilet on board. You could get the train to Liverpool Street, Circle line underground to Paddington then Heathrow Express to Heathrow, This way would not really be quicker and also cost more. If you are struggling for time a taxi will be quickest and most expensive, I am guessing 1hour/ 50-60 pounds

Just eat plenty of spicy Thai food sit in the bath and then make your own bubbles

Tom You are now spending more time in LOS than you are in the UK West East also have Eva promotions £520+ Evergreen, must be 348 travelling together FWIW The Thai Airways deals seem very good, I think you need to book before the end of February.
