  1. Indeed they are recent. Unfortunately, none of them were shot anywhere near Soi Nana as you claimed. There is an excellent updated Google Map available showing the location of protests, key government buildings etc. I have added Nana as a green star to the screenshot to indicate how far it is from the current clashes. That's not to say things won't change in the future.
  2. Got any links? I've not seen any reports of incidents "around Sukhumvit and/or Soi Nana. Barricades, tear gas, army guys with guns….". Some BMs may be planning visits to the areas in question ...
  3. Aye ... if protesting was an Olympic sport, they'd be gold medal contenders every time.
  4. Everton looked pretty good ... whether they have a good enough (large) squad to get through the winter is another matter. Newcastle are also looking better without the distraction of European football.
  5. That would obviously be subsequent to your first extension.
  6. They still allow the 7 days at my local immigration - however, as with all things immigration, I'd confirm any procedures with my local office. For example, the date of the first application for extension of stay counts as a 90 day report at my local office. It's only entries into LOS subsequent to the first extension that count as 90 day reports (and reset the countdown clock).
  7. 15 days before and 7 days after the due date is the "window" for doing a 90 day report.
  8. Thanks. Some good looking girls there, but the coloured big-eye nonsense freaks me out.
  9. Get a tourist visa from your nearest Thai Embassy/Consulate. Valid for 60 days and can be extended in-country for a further thirty days.
  10. Anyone who doesn't look after their passwords. Have you used a public computer to access the forum?
  11. I went up to BKK in 2010 and spent a couple of days photographing and chatting with the red-shirts. Without exception, I was welcomed and treated with the utmost courtesy by everyone I came across. Fast-forward to the "mob" throwing its weight about in Hat Yai/Songkhla today and the difference in attitudes couldn't be more striking.
  12. This is about as unbiased (and factual) a report as I've come across ... From TIME ...
  13. Once again, thanks. I'm actually staying in Guangzhou for a day or two before heading to Weifang, so I'll have checked baggage to collect (Thai AirAsia). The location of any top quality replica bag places in Guangzhou would be welcome.
  14. Thanks, Evil ... that makes more sense. I will be travelling BKK-CAN then CAN-WEF-CAN before returning CAN-BKK, so I'll be on a visa. Any ideas about booking internal flights (Hainan Airways appear to be my only option).
  15. Are you saying I can go to Guangzhou for 3 days without a visa?
  16. Anyone with recent experience of travel within China ... any dos or don'ts? Anything I should be aware of? Specifically, I'm looking at travel between Guangzhou and Weifang next may/June.
  17. Did you go back to McDonalds and ask them for a refund? I can imagine the bank might have thought you were taking the piss for the sake of ฿1.45.
  18. You should invest in a lawnmower the next time you're in HomePro. They might even chuck in a strimmer for free.
  19. Not sure at all ... however, the launch of Thai AirAsia X and the tourist visa waiver initiated by Japan, both point to increased numbers between Japan and BKK. I assume, that Tokyo, either Haneda (where AirAsia X already operates to/from KUL) or Narita, will benefit at some point in the near future.
  20. It would have been easy just to provide a link to the results of the Google search ...
